A big thank you goes out to Crown Home Services for fixing my Garbage Disposal. It was beyond repair so they installed a new one. The employee was prompt and courteous. So thanks again to Crown Home Services.

My home warranty company hired this company to repair a toilet. It did not fix it and I have called him 5 times since, so has the home warranty company and they will not respond.

The technician they sent was amazing but they do not have a plumbing license in the state of Colorado. They planned on installing a new water heater without a permit. I checked with the city of Aurora yesterday and they are not eligible for permits. They were a no show for my appointment on Wednesday. Now they are demanding an extra $350 to get a permit. Do they not realize that Aurora city offices are closed today? They have been installing water heaters illegally for months. Check on the state of Colorado DORA website and you will see their license expired months ago.

Iâ m a lot late on my review. These guys came to mind because a friend asked me the other day for a recommended plumber. Todd was out at our house a year ago to give a second opinion for our hot water heater issue through American Home Shield. The original company that was out was attempting to put in with AHS that they were replacing the water heater when they actually were only replacing the burner and pocketing the insurance money. Todd gave his honest opinion and was able to help me with my claim. I was then able to have them do the replacement. Tyler (I think thatâ s his name) came out to do the water heater replacement and when there were issues later, they came back out to make sure the work was complete, at no extra charge. Not only were they friendly, they were completely honest and very professional. Itâ s saying a lot when a friend asks for a recommendation a year later and I can immediately recall them in my mind. Thank you guys for your hard honest work. Itâ s much appreciated!

Sewer Main Install, Replace or Repair
Main line replacement project. Did initial replacement of main line. Then when city required a permit and planned inspection, CHS replaced what they had already done; knowing it would not pass inspection (meaning they would have left patchy work if not been inspected). After mainline replacement, they left the driveway unpaved and also left large concrete slab pieces in the yard. They refused to reply to numerous emails, calls, and texts to complete the project. Very unreliable group.

Todd Nordrum, the owner of Crown Home Services is not a licensed plumber through the State of Colorado. Charged us for a permit, which he did not pull, until we called him on it. The hot water installation failed the inspection.

These people came out to my house and accessed a leak in the shower to the garage and told me that the pipe froze and replaced a piece of the pipe and did not check for leaks - guess what? It was still leaking. I called them 12 times with no return call. The guy finally came back out and was lazy and did not say anything except that it froze. Really? It froze in the 2-hour time frame it took for my daughter to clean the tub? So I called a real plumber. He came out and accessed the situation and said there was no way this froze. He had it fixed in less than an hour and showed me that Crown Home Services attached a washer to a broken washer. He did not remove the old one just slapped a new one on top. He did not replace a gasket that should have been replaced. Just a horrible experience.

Thermostat Service
$200
We could not turn on heater this morning. The Crown Home Services sent a technician to my house. The technician Tyler is good professional person and honest. Tyler told his boss no anything is broken. He just put on two screws to close the furnace door then furnace can be on. He thought the price should be about his travel cost. However his boss charged me $200 for putting on two screws.
Response from Crown Home Services of Denver
"Juli. Thank you for your review and appreciation of Tyler's work in diagnosing and assisting you in your repair. I'm sorry you feel that the cost was excessive. While HomeAdvisor is a free service to the consumer, we pay a "lead fee" on each inquiry we receive regardless of whether we earn the customers business. In your case we paid a $45 lead fee, had 45 minutes in travel time in a company vehicle to get to the job, an additional 50 minutes of time the tech is being paid as our appt was at 8am and you arrived to your daughters house at 8:50am in addition to his time diagnosing the systems to verify and validate the defect. As a consumer I can appreciate your point of view and hopefully now you can see why there is no such thing as a $100 repair given our costs associated with these platforms. Thank you again for your business. Crown Home Services"

Gas Piping
These guys take you money and do not pull permits and they don't show up time only work half the day and they are rude. and now my faucet does not work.
Response from Crown Home Services of Denver
"Dontrael. We have worked to try and find an amicable agreement to this matter. Our contract clearly stated our scope of work. The assumption that a plumbing company is responsible for the framing of your bathroom is out of scope for all plumbing companies. We are happy to pull permits for all of our required work. That said, you're acting as your own general contractor on a full bathroom, laundry room and bedroom remodel. Inviting the City of Denver in to your home with no General Construction permit to complete plumbing inspections opens Pandora's Box. The city will then tag your project, request architectural drawings and you'll have to go through a plan review and a submission process that could take up to months to complete. You were given the option of Arbitration through HomemAdvisor as means of resolving your grievance. You declined to engage in this process. We're happy to provide an arbitrator or any third party a copy of our agreements, additional work requests, timelines of completed work and delays caused by change of scope or work and photo documentation of all completed work."

We were 10 days short of being without water for a full 2 months when we contacted them for a estimate and that time made it very challenging to our family of 4. Todd came out the day I called and gave us a good deal as we were struggling to come up with $2500 that was quoted by another company. Todd beat that estimate and we agreed to our pipes being fixed the following day. Brian arrived in a timely manner, was friendly and got the job done quickly. We will be customers for life. Thanks so so much Todd and Brian for helping us with our pipe problem. We are now a very happy family who really appreciated your kindness and generosity.

Todd and his Crew were here on short notice, problem solved for me and had the job done in a timely fashion. We ran into a few last minute snafus and Todd made one call to remedy the unforeseen issue. Loved that! Highly recommend this professional and fair company.
