We signed a contract with Crystal Clear Pools & Spas for the construction of an 18x36 vinyl pool on August 5, 2019. As of today, June 2, 2020 we have a dug hole surrounded by a concrete deck, boxes of equipment that have been in our side yard since October 2019, an installed pump, and trash left by the work crew. The concrete was finished on April 9, 2020, since that time we have not been visited by a work crew. We have texted Jeff Alvarez on multiple occasions to ask when we can expect work to be completed. Mr. Alvarez has given us dates to expect workers, the delivery of our liner, etc. As of this writing none of the things Mr. Alvarez stated have come to pass. I asked Mr. Alvarez (in February 2020) to please have the pool completed before my son's May 20th high school graduation and his departure for Navy basic training on June 10, 2020. The pool remains incomplete. We requested a meeting with Mr. Alvarez and Mr. Burnham the week of May 11, 2020 to discuss a completion date. The request, like other messages, was ignored. We have paid Crystal Clear Pools & Spas $34,000 and our pool is not usable. I hope CCPS will finish our pool before June 10th, but I am doubtful. I would not recommend CCPS because they simply have not earned my trust and I would not want anyone else to be put through the wringer.

Their work is mediocre at this point, it looks like they will never finish. I think they are having money problems borrowing from Peter to pay Paul. I just want the job done.

Crystal Clear communicated well throughout the entire process. They were their to help anytime I called Jeff or Butch. Years later Butch still answers the phone when I call and has been more than helpful anytime I call.

I am putting this exact review back on Home Advisor. I got with Butch last August 2019 and was promised if I removed the review, they would make the necessary repairs. That was 9 months ago, still nothing has been done. The worst experience ever, had gunite pool installed 3 years ago. While still under warranty, I noticed the concrete decking was settling bad, coming off the tile, causing severe trip hazards around the backside of pool. Butch stated they would correct the issue, they wanted to let it settle more, that was over 2 years ago. Zero communication from Butch or Jeff. How do stay in business with this kind of customer service. I got 100s of pictures showing their terrible work. It is embarrassing to have family and friends over and seeing the shape the pool is it. The entire back side of the pool has gaps in tile and concrete! I also forgot to mention, broke up my driveway and sidewalk with their equipment, even though I had purchased all this plywood to protect it from cracking, did not need it, did not care, not their problem! Hopefully, Home Advisor will remove this sorry company from their list of recommended pool installers!

It was impossible to get them on the phone. They did a horrible job grading and we have flooding going under our house when it rains. They were supposed to fix it but never would. Multiple problems and they would never call back. We paid for salt for our pool but they never it it in the pool. Terrible company!!

Hands down the best pool company I have ever dealt with. The professionalism of this company surpassed any pool company I've ever dealt with in the past. Thank you so much!

They are only getting one star because there is not an option to give anything lower. Do not use this pool company! Despite that fact that the pool builders knew she was dying of brain cancer, it was not done when she passed. They told us that it would be done in a few months. They signed a contract on July 5, 2018, did not start the build until September 10, 2018, and have worked an average of about 1 day every 5-6 weeks. We are now in February of 2019 and still nowhere close to a finished product. There is little communication from the owner or builder and our family member who was paying for the pool passed away December 12, 2018. We are desperate to get this thing finished and one of the homeowners is having to seek legal advice to get it done. Do not use this company. EDIT: Since this review was initially posted in February 2018, we are now getting better communication from the company's representative and there has been some development on the pool. However, we are still waiting for a finished product as of 03/08/2019.

We hired this company back in the beginning of April 2018 to have our pool completed. All we have four months later is gunite shot and the tile isn't even finished. They take your money and then you wont hear from them for weeks! They have horrible communication. I would not recommend this company to anyone!!

I would not recommend them to anyone, they don't follow up with what they say they will, they take on too many jobs and can't give you the time and quality you pay for.

They really cared about what I wanted in a pool and considered my budget. They didn't try to sell me lots of other things. Very considerate people.
