Magnificent Pool Service

An unreliable person who will not answer his phone after he got away with your cash, he takes your kindness for your weakness, I just want my cash back, I paid him in full for a job, I am handicapped in a wheelchair and I feel he took advantage of my kindness.

Hired on June 13., 2022 paid $2800 the goal was to get the pool from green to blue and that was $475 and was supposed to take 3 weeks top the difference $2325 would cover 52 weeks of service. Needless to say, on August 9, 2022, the pool still was not ready to be used and Malachi was not heard from. On August 30 we hired someone else to do the job for $175 and in 3 days the job was complete, and we are finally able to use our pool. I requested $2200 back from Malachi, he agreed and has been ghosting me ever since. Still no refund. I will be filing a suit to recoup the entire $2800. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MAGNIFICENT POOL, VERY INCONSISTENT, UNRELIABLE AND FULL OF EXCUSES.

Unreliable service pool for a month

When our filter casing sprung a leak, the pool service we'd been using for years suddenly told us that we were no longer in their service area. We reached out to several companies, most of which didn't even bother to respond. Thankfully, Magnificent not only responded, but came out right away to take a look. They got the replacement filter unit and had it out here in a couple of days. Even when it turned out that Jandy had changed the connection type, they found the parts they needed to get it securely connected and had us up and running again quickly and efficiently. Throughout the process, Malachi and his co-worker (whose name I regret I didn't get) were courteous, professional, and happy to answer our questions. We wouldn't hesitate to contact them again for our future pool service needs.

Paid Malachi $8500 for new pump and liner installation. Project was to be completed by May 27. Two months later, we have a pump that is not hooked up (he took our old pump probably to sell it without our permission- has not hooked up new pump), and a liner that he didnâ t measure correctly, so completely useless to us. All in all, we paid him for this job and he repeatedly ghosted us, didnâ t show up when promised and completely botched the job. We now have to pay someone else to fix his mistakes and order a new liner. We have requested a partial refund to which he agreed but has never paid- is now ghosting us again. We now have an unusable pool with a liner we paid for that he measured incorrectly so its garbage now. Buyer beware- he will steal from you and is very unprofessional. We have reported him to the Labor Board, the Pool Board in NC and filed a civil suit in Mecklenburg County. I guess we will have to see him in court to hopefully recoup some of the money lost. This guy is a clown.

Malachi was fantastic..... he found the part we needed & installed it for us. At least three other companies could not do the work. We wouldn't hesitate to call him again!

Would steer far away from!

This is the most ridiculous person posing to be a professional. We ordered a pool liner in early March. We gave him a large deposit. He has not done the job but still continues to lie, make excuses, blame others, not return calls, and makes specific promises to come and never shows up. His communication is horrible and very unprofessional. We continue to hope that he will do what he says but to no avail. We have requested a refund of our deposit and he has not complied. So incredibly disappointed

Beware! Malachi with Magnificent pools runs a dishonest business. I hired him to open my pool for the season and weekly pool cleanings. The cost was $895 to open the pool and first month of cleaning. He came out once for the cleaning and then gave me excuse after excuse for why he could not come out. He gave me his word multiple times he would come out, and never did. Malachi is a Liar a clown and runs a complete dishonest business. This is your typical take your money and run operation. I would not recommend

We agree on the job that they had not follow trough and they had not started yet.

Magnificent pool was very through and had great customer service.

My Experience was great with magnificent pool service he listen assured that my pool would get clear again and was a man of his word .

Malachi is great with prices and one thing I appreciate is his honesty and his quality work!
