"I am sorry that it has come to this, we take every reasonable step to make the customer happy, but sometimes the customer just is not willing to be reasonable. What the customer wanted was outside his budget and so we worked out alternative options. We agreed on the scope and price and we were right on target to execute the work as agreed. The problems arose when the customer was no longer satisfied with the scope of the work and wanted to expand it but without an increase in price. I tried to propose solutions that might allow for a happy outcome, but after bearing abusive behavior for too long, we ultimately agreed that we would provide."
