Brick or Stone Fireplace Repair Service
My chimney was leaking. I called Cunningham & Sons after viewing thwir reviews. They came out the next day and inspected my chimney from the ground up on the roof and from inside. They determined that the crown of my chimney was cracked allowing water to enter &and needed resurfaced with new moral. They also found i had gaps in my mortar between the brick on exterior of chimney allowing water to absorb. They quoted me to Resurface top of chimney and fill in the gaps between brick with new morta and spray with water repellent. The quote was reasonable & fair priced for the 5-6 hours it took them. They did the repair before the next rain and I have had no issues since. Brittany in the office is a joy and my tech Allan was informative and professional. I will now use for my yearly chimney cleaning as we use our fireplace alot!

I hired Cunningham & Sons to initially to inspect & attempt to service my gas fireplace that would not light. I had 2 other big name companies in my area attempt to service it & said it could not be repaired & wanted to charge me $5,00-$6,800 to install a new firebox & log set. Cunningham & Sons Chimney Services came out for $149.00 total spent over a hour servicing my fireplace logs & got them up & running with no issues. That was back in February & its now May & my logs are still running properly. Highly recommend these guys as they truly are about customer service & knowledgeable. They aren't just out for the big sale like the other companies. Great communication & customer service. 100 out of 10 recommend!

Cunningham and Sons was amazing start to finish. Appoitnment booking was a breeze. They inspected my chimney and performed a cleaning. They found I needed a refractory panel replaced due to braking and explained and showed why it was a safety concern. They returned within a few days to complete the repair. They even gave great tips for using the fireplace. Very nice knowledge folks. Highly recommend and will use annually.

Pre-Fabricated Fireplace Unit (Gas) Installation
They said they did an inspection and then installed gas logs. I had an inspection 9 months later and learned that my chimney had rust and holes and needed to be repaired. I was in danger of my chimney, catching fire, and they didn?t care .avoid this place

Fireplace Cleaning and Inspection
Work was none right and what additional work was needed on the woodburning fireplace made into a gas fired ceramic log fireplace. Fireplace was blowing out pieces of carbon onto the hearth. Gas pan can be addressed later. Move existing ceramic logs, grate, and pan further back into the fireplace and raised existing metal pan onto two fire bricks. Downstairs wood burning oven needs a rear hood and a smaller, 6" or 8" dia. stainless steel flue to be located inside an already masonry lined flue. This is needed because the existing chimney is to0 large for the stove to properly function. In the past we had to use a large propane flame thrower to heat the chimney in order to create the correct draw on the cast iron fireplace insert oven. Oven was also not properly sealed. That is work for another day.

Our previous chimney company was less to come check but more if cleaning was needed, we wanted it cleaned and saved $30.00.
