"Hi Chris, I'm sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the price of the work done, although it's good to hear that you are pleased with the quality of the work. My work is based on the highest quality, and not the cheapest way to get the work done. It costs more but the results last longer-term. Your wife and I had agreed on the price beforehand so I was surprised to find out there was an issue for you. I did work on four doorways and while that isn't much in terms of carpet length, it is more detailed work that takes skill and time. It was a smaller job as well, which takes time for me to travel to and from and many carpet layers won't actually take the time to come and do that type of work. Regardless, I am sorry in the end that you weren't happy with the price, and I hope this explanation provides more understanding as to what made up the price as quoted."

I am open to you saying that you are not interested. Especially on concrete, there is a lot of prep work that I have to do before I even stretch it. I am glad you felt good about the work that I do. I did want to respond as to your comment on the pricing of our work. We are known for the very highest quality work and sometimes a job can have intangibles that increase the work required to complete the job, which also affects the price. In this case, it took extra time to arrive at the location up at the top of the mountain with the gated entrance, as well as it took some extra work and time to get into the attic from a ladder, for the carpet to use for the patch. With the extra time and effort involved, the price charged for an excellent quality job is a fair price for the work done. But customers can have a lot of extra carpet sometimes. I,also, don't have a place to put all that extra carpet. Sometimes the carpet is very smelly and I don't want to have that stuff in my vehicle.
