The ability to charge my electric car from solar After interviewing 5 different solar companies (and talking with their engineers) I realized that much of the solar industry is not consumer friendly. It took many technical questions before the engineers at most companies would admit that their batteries do not work if the grid goes down. My search ultimately led me to Custom Electric. The first thing that stood out is transparency. They told me upfront which systems they could install and the options that I should choose if I wanted a battery to work if the grid goes down. After completing my solar research I was surprised that only Custom Electrical could deliver on all of my goals. In fact, they ended up exceeding my goals on price and service. There are many different companies that you can get solar from and some of them even use the same equipment. The difference with Custom Electrical is that they are going to treat you as a VIP from day 1. They will take the time to answer all your questions and they will not hide any trade offs of a system behind engineering. In the last 10 years I have written only a handful of reviews. Custom Electric was top notch. The bidding was quick, they answered al my questions promptly, and installed the system in the time frame they said they would. The install was neat and done professionally. They showed me how to install the app on my phone to monitor the energy production. Now my bill is just $10 each month down from $500. Amazing.
