We found Custom Mechanical Services and Joe De Fusco, the owner, to be a very professional outfit. Joe's suggestions and work have much improved the "climate" of our old house. Custom Mechanical Services was prompt, efficient, neat, thoughtful and reasonable. We would not hesitate to hire them again in the future.

These guys did a great job installing what I wanted, and worked with me to get the cost of the system down to a very reasonable price. The guys installing the furnace were very polite and did a great job in plumbing all the zones and hot water tank. They took their time and made the system into a work of art. John, the sales person was very understanding and responsive to what I wanted and worked to get the best solution for my home. They worked around my schedule and made it easy for me to make the decision to choose them as the contractor to install my top of the line furnace. This is a group that is very customer oriented, and willing to work to meet all of your wants and needs in a heating system.

Boiler or Radiator Heating System Service

The person who came out was polite and professional - but knew nothing about hot water heating systems. He recommended nearly $9,000 worth or work when all that needed to be done was to open the valves on the radiators to bleed the air. He did identify the issue - that the system was air bound - but his only resolution was the addition of very expensive and high end equipment to the current system. He also claimed that water could not get into the system because of a frozen valve, but this was not the case. Thankfully, I have a plumber in the family who was able to walk me through the solution and in under an hour I had heat.

"AJ recommended a boiler replacement because the gas burners and boiler jacket were rotted. Please understand if we manually feed water into a boiler and do not replace the auto feeder the boiler will at somepoint become air bound again. It may take a day or a year, in either case the customer will call us back and expect the work to be done under warranty, this is not fair to the client or to us."

Todd and AJ were: 1) very professional 2) very informative 3) hard working 4) straight to the point, they told me what the problem was and what needed to be done to fix it. 5) mosy importantly, they provided me with #'s, options, and total costs of each possible option. As a customer, that is what I want the most. Bottom line costs!!!!! They did a great job!

Custom Mechanical Services was our clear choice for undertaking our Geothermal heating system. Once selected, they were quick to schedule the project start, and began the work on the date promised. The work crew was very professional, hard working and effieient. They coordinated with a local excavation contractor and completed the complicated installation in a very reasonable time. They were also able to resolve several minor problems with hardware and worksite quickly and to our complete satisfaction. The system works well in providing our heat, AC, & hot water - even in this cold corner of CT. I highly reccommend Cust Mech Services.
