I have never written a bad review, but this company was so unprofessional and unapologetic that I felt compelled to. Between three no-shows, confusion over appointment times, which they scheduled, and showing up late with no courtesy call, I was completely appalled. Both my girlfriend and I had to take separate half days on multiple occasions for them to not show up. When this was brought to their attention, they were completely unapologetic and felt it unnecessary to rectify this issue. They did make sure we got charged the visit though, which they refused to refund. They were completely dismissive of our concerns and at end of the day we cancelled our fifth attempt to have them come out here, after going almost a week without a refrigerator! This company should be ashamed of its lack of professionalism and unreliability . I get things happen, but after multiple incidents, most people would acknowledge the inconvenience at the very least and take some ownership for wasting our time

DO NOT USE!!! This company is extremely unprofessional. They do not show up for their scheduled appointment, don't reach out to their customers when they're going to be late (or in this case, not show at all), and decides it's ok to blow off the customer completely by not responding. We had service on our dryer scheduled between 12-4pm yesterday. The time frame came and went, no tech. I reached out at 4:05pm (via text as was told to only reply via text). I was told they were running really far behind. I asked what time they would be here. No response. An hour later I was told they were stuck in Munster and would not be able to make it out to Valpo, but they could make arrangements to come the next day (today). I told them we had rearranged our schedules to be available and would also rearrange our evening schedule for them to still be able to come. I said I realized it was after hours for them, but they also need to keep their word and realize their customers made arrangements to be available for their 4-hour time window. We were willing to be available the rest of the night if needed, but we never received a response. I told him how frustrated I was by this experience and asked what time he would be to our house the next day (today). No response. My husband then called this morning, and he was told "It would be in the best interest of us both for us to find someone else to come out." This wouldn't be a problem if dryer appliance repair men were readily available, but now we have to wait two more days before someone can come out because their schedules are full, and this guy screwed us over. At that point we will have been without a dryer for a full week, instead of just a few days. Please do yourself a favor and use anyone other than this company for your repair needs.

Called D1 Appliance Repair to come out and troubleshoot a non-functioning ice maker on a 3 year old Frigidaire fridge. The tech came out three times to fix the issue. With each visit the issue changed (pump, then ice maker itself and filter, then motherboard), which each visit and each new issue, the job became increasingly more expensive. On the 3rd visit the tech that came out had to call his boss to come out because he was unable to troubleshoot the issue. Told them I did not want to give them a 4th chance to repair the fridge. D1 refused to refund what I prepaid on parts and repair, nor the $99.99 I paid for the initial inspection. They claimed these were non-refundable. If you hire these guys, pray they can make the repair, because they definitely won't give you your money back to hire someone who actually can, and plan for a couple weeks on the repair and being on call for repeat trips to your house to get it right.

I am not one to defame or cause disruption within a family business however, I have pleaded and attempted in every way possible to have this situation resolved without success. I hired Derek Roldan, owner of D1 Appliances to fix my refrigerator on 9/27 and upon completion he proceeded to sell me a 5-year service plan, which I purchased for both my homes. The following day (18 hours later) when the refrigerator continued to get warm, I was unable to contact a technician despite several attempts over a 10-hour period. I did hear from his secretary who was only able to tell me â He said it takes 24 hours for the refrigerator to cool downâ . When finally contacted by Derek the following day (9/29), I voiced my concern with lack of communication, inability to speak with a technician over the phone and requested a refund for the service plan. Derek declined my request, â read the terms of the service planâ . I informed and outlined my rights as a consumer under state and federal law, began the process of cancellation in a legal manner, and he continues to decline my refund. The last message sent to Derek on 10/25 is as follows: â I have given ample amount of time with multiple requests to return my $3,950. Today will be the 10th business day since you picked up the cancellation notice sent via certified mail, which is the time allotted by law to provide refund. Iâ ve postponed actions in order to provide you the legal timeframe and have attempted to work with you since Sep 29th to have this situation resolved. A complaint has been filed with the Attorney General, I have consulted with an attorney to confirm I am within my rights to proceed with small claim court and will be sure to let buyers beware when conducting business with your company. I was hopeful this could have been handled in a more professional mannerâ . Realizing I will need to pursue small claims court, I wanted to look up public records to see what type of person Iâ m dealing withâ ¦ Pending felony charges, pending criminal misdemeanor, possession of cocaine, criminal trespass, harassment, residential entry breaking and entering, and small claims against his business. This is all within the last year, and this list goes on. Iâ m sure this is not the type of person you want to trust in your home. This is all public record with a quick internet search by entering the first and last name on Mycase.in.gov. This has, and unfortunately will likely continue to be time consuming for my family; hopefully this will prevent another family from going through the same.

"Too much? We charged you exactly What we said we would charge you over the phone before you made the appointment....$75 to come out which includes the diagnosis. That it. Just the trip fee! You had a gas leak and a spark module. Our tech advised you to not pay us money to repair but rather to buy a new one. That's called honesty and integrity. This is such an illegitimate review."

He asked for cash, $350. Said the repairs were made and then left. We tried the washer and nothing was fixed. I called him and he said he would return. He did not return and would not answer my phone calls. I am 73 and he ripped me off.

Came to inspect quick enough, did let me know $75 dollar charge just to come and look. Came over quoted me the price for repairs and asked for $100 (not the $75). Thought it was odd, paid it anyway never having issues with home advisor recommended pros. Also, seemed nice enough and was a local business so I took the chance paid the $100 set up appointment for Friday with 9 to 12 window, wife waited was a no show at around 4p (four hours after missed the appointment) let me know he had some issues and was on his way scrambled and got my sister to go over since wife already left and I was still at work. Notified a bit later of an additional issue and that he could not make it. Rescheduled for Tuesday 9 to 12 window, again a no show and follow (again around 4p) hours later offered to discount service but at this point being so close to the holidays I was able to resolve the issue without the use of this unreliable service.

He was very rude with us. He showed up unexpectedly, and was very quick with the job, less than 15 minutes. When we reached out to let him know there was a new problem, he inferred that it wasn't anything he did, before he even knew what the new problem was. He talked over us, and was very rude. We were concerned with how he jammed the parts back in.

Your ice maker Is working and you're upset because I'm so good at my profession that it took me less than 10 min to diagnose and replace the part properly and correctly the first time I was out.
