Deck, Fence, Patio or Porch Clean and Seal
I had my fence installed summer 2023. Project started May 16 and was finished July 14. I emailed June 1, 2024 about completing the water seal treatment and received no response. Emailed again August 23 and scheduled the water seal for 2nd week of September. After he didn’t show up I emailed again and he didn’t respond due to being out of town. He responded in October letting me know he would complete the job this past weekend sometime between Thursday and Sunday. It is now Monday and he is not responding to email and did not show up to complete the job. It is a headache.

They claimed that as apart of our signed agreement on our new fencing, which we finalized details on 1-25-23, and states that it comes with a free water seal 8-12 months after. No replyâ s or anyone showing up so far. Been well over 8-12 months now. I have our paperwork showing weâ re entitled to this service. Some of our boards have bowed as well. Maybe he will reply to me after he seeâ s this since he wanted my review so quickly back when we FINALLY got our fence.

Deck or Porch
I hired Darren to do some landscaping and to do my deck. I paid upfront because he offered a discount. My stairs and deck were in bad need of work, which he said he would do. It has been over two years, and trying to get him to respond to my emails is like trying to find a snowball in july. I have since fallen down those stairs twice, and I am a 67 year old man. Do NOT pay him upfront for any work, as I am sure the money we gave him for the work he never did, will never see my bank account again. Thanks Darren

Darren was very responsive before getting my money. He made a lot of promises; he said that it would take 4 or 6 weeks to get the fence. It has been 11 weeks for some reason, and now he is waiting on Julie before you dig to mark my property, when on the website it said that takes 2 days.

Darren and his crew did a great job! Our old fence was taken down and the new fence was put up in 2 days time. Very happy with the outcome! Our dog is so happy to now have his whole yard to run around in with no worries of him getting through the fence! Thank you Darren and we will definitely get ahold of you if we need more work done!

We paid him in full on the day the contract was signed. He gave us a 7% discount if we pick up front. He assured us that he would start work in two weeks. Since then he has ignored calls from my husband. The only exception to that was once a month ago when he answered and, once again, repeated his two weeks promise. At this point in time I think that if his work is no better than his word would prefer a full refund.

We paid Darren in full 9/1/22 for a patio cover because he guaranteed us it would be done within 4-6 weeks within us paying. But it is going on 7 months of the project now with several excuses of why it has not been complete. He did say it would be complete by March but when I messaged him on March 30th I have yet to receive a response. We had several different projects for him to do but now we are second guessing ourselves. Please do your research before hiring so you are not in the same boat as us!

Deck construction was extremely professional. It is exactly what we asked for and are very pleased with the outcome. Communications with contractor were a little slow at times, thus the 4.5 rating instead of 5. Overall, I would use this business again and recommend it to others.

Like Brent H. we had a bad experience and fired them before they even started. Beware of the deal offered to prepay as the communications all but ceased at that time and initial times for project commencement completely disregarded. It took a while, but we did get our money back.

"This is very laughable to me. First of all, once we contract the project it is our schedule to decide on the best timing, especially with pending weather. We missed our shot on the dirt but rescheduled and were there to spread when the homeowner became very rude and canceled without any explanation but what I gather is their micromanagement having to be there every second did not suit them. They were extremely rude and didn't want to talk about it. Very cowardly in my opinion but that's irrelevant in this matter. Once they made the decision not to proceed while on location we packed up and left. After that, I had to deliver everything to their house."

Absolute waste of time, money and energy. Its been 20 weeks since the initial payment was made with the promise that work will be complete within 4-6 weeks. Most of the time, Darren will not respond to your call, text or emails. If he does, he will come up with a million excuses as to why he has not started the project. I will be taking legal action to get my money back. Hope this review helps people to stay away from this scammer.

"We have 52 emails, several texts, and numerous phone calls so we have been more than communicative. Our client tried to swindle a cedar fence even though he said it was too expensive then after seeing what he said in emails he then agreed he was wrong. Also, with the weather, and materials delay his project completion was. He is trying to not pay the rest of the remaining balance of his project after he changed his mind about what method he was going to utilize. I don't know what legal action he thinks he can take when he owes money for a completed project. Just a case of someone trying to take advantage of a company that doesn't have the funds to pay so."

They were so easy to work with! We had a rough idea what we wanted and Darren offered ideas and suggestions, but was never pushy. We got something so much better than what we initially thought. He was responsive to every email, quicker at responding than anyone weâ ve worked with for home improvements. The crew was great too. Everything was cleaned up when they left. Highly recommend working with Darren, we definitely will use him again!
