Dianne, I feel your pain !!!! All of this is what he did to me: would not answer my calls, would not call back, did not finish the job, never came back to finish, and the part he did do was soooo messed up I could not get my house door to even stay closed. Sounds like he is still using his mom as one of his many excuses. I was also foolish enough to pay him for the entire job upfront. Because of him, it makes it hard to trust any other company.

Had an excuse for everything! Works on his own time, hardly shows up. He left all his power tools plugged in, one of my grandchildren ended up cutting himself. He left my deep freezer downstairs unplugged and I lost a huge amount of meat and food. Now I cannot even get him to answer a phone call let alone call me back. He has also overcharged me in price, I have paid him thousands of dollars already and he hardly gotten anywhere. I trusted him with a house key due to some medical problems and going in and out of the hospital and the last time we spoke he said his mother had a drug problem and had to be taken to Sioux Falls, when I asked about my house key, he left it in Sioux Falls! I will let the courts handle this one.

Dalton is AMAZING. You will not find any better value than him in the Black Hills area. He painted our ceilings/walls. He replaced all of our trim with a unique style that gives our house extra character. He also replaced our kitchen floor. He even took out the old carpet/flooring/trim to the dump for us! Stand up guy. Cleaned up after his project well and fixed small imperfections when I asked him without issue (because I m picky). Definitely would recommend.

Don't pay cash up front! Make them pay for everything and give you the receipts and when the work is FINISHED then pay them. Otherwise, I foolishly paid in full before the work was done and now I am stuck with a half job that was never finished!

Very quick to respond. Set a time to complete, arrived on time, very friendly and courteous. I will use again if the need arises.

What I liked is that he has lots of alternative ideas that he shares, he researches and thinks way ahead. He's on the ball and has a lot of intelligent ideas. He is able to take the original vision and expand on it to make it better.
