The wife does the estimating and the husband does the work with his crew. He didn't do what she said for the estimate. They don't give you a written estimate. She said they would put down salt before doing the driveway. He said they don't do that anymore. There is no communication between the husband and the wife. He wanted to charge me more than what she estimated. Don't use them.

I had a 22 by26 foot concrete pad installed by DC Hot Mix in July 2017. In December 2017 I noticed 2 cracks in the pad and I didn't park anything on it. I sent an email to the company about my concern and they sent the team out to address the cracks. I was told not to worry because the cracks were considered surface cracks only. Well, in September 2019 I noticed that the cracks ran through the entire 4-inch depth of the concrete and called DC Hot Mix. They sent a worker out to look at them and they agreed that the cracks were an issue and didn't know why they happened. They blamed it on the company that delivered the concrete and said they would call me with a solution. Three weeks went by and no phone call. The bottom line is concrete should last longer than 2 years, especially when nothing is parked on it.

"Yes, Mr Ross did contact us about his cracks. We did respond and went inspected them. In December they were surface cracks. But now they are cracks 2 years later. DC Hot Mix installs a premix concrete that we purchase from a large local supplier. We contacted the supplier on 10-25-19 the same day we inspected the pad. We offered to inject polyurethane into the cracks to keep the water from entering the cracks. A couple of issue with Mr Ross's complaint #1 his pad is 6 inches thick from 1 foot off edge out to the center #2 He has parked a large travel trailer with slides on both side on it He also parked a 30 FT wooden boat with 2 305 gas motors on it > I do have pictures of this. I am sorry he felt it necessary to file a complaint but a truthful complaint would have been more effective"

This company was extremely thorough! Explained each product, gave pictures and actual locations for us to view to help us decide which product would best fit our needs. Explained the difference in price for each product along with maintenance of each. Products we reviewed were concrete, asphalt and millings. Ultimately, we chose millings because it best suited our desired outcome for look and functionality for our driveway surface. We chose concrete for the extension of an already existing partial sidewalk to complete a project started prior to our purchase of this property. Overall, I give DC Hotmix 2 thumbs up on quality in every aspect!

Great experience! Did a good job and I was very satisfied with the result! Parking lots are not easy, especially with weeds growing through it, but they killed the weeds, sealed the cracks, resurfaced the parking lot, and striped it.

The Woman running sales for this firm was very good. She convinced me that something called "Millings" would be just as good as asphalt at one third the price. We looked at one they had done but it was an extension not a real asphalt drive and did not show the actual difference at all. Our drive has lots of loose pebbles. The width is not the 10ft quoted by the representative and ranges from under 9ft to 10ft. We were told the once it was rained on it would harden, but that has not happened.

"Mr G was given a list of millings job references . The day he went to see the jobs I offered to take him and his wife to the millings job but he declined. Mr G went to a job where we sealed an asphalt driveway and laid a millings parking pad. When Mr G called and asked us to do the job I the owner /sales lady questioned him "are you sure you saw the millings in the back??? He responded yes . We proceeded to do his job fill in a large 5 x10 mud hole at the entrance to his driveway , remove 4 large roots and laid 3 inches of millings . Now millings are old asphalt road chopped up. The millings create a surface that you can drive on without s"
