I hired DeckX after interviewing 9 contractors because Jeremy's design, demeanor, and pricing seemed like the best fit. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The project was presented as being handled by deck specialists, but the design and construction were outsourced. The permit process took 5 months and did not involve an architect. A project estimated at 2 weeks stretched from late December into March, with ongoing waterproofing issues after final inspection. The subcontractors, George and Nate, were professional and worked hard to resolve problems. However, communication from Jeremy became increasingly poor. After repairs required cutting back stucco, he stopped responding to emails, texts, and calls for weeks. He later explained he had suspended operations to care for his mother, but the project remains unfinished. Now I need to pay another contractor to complete the stucco repairs. It's been a full year since I signed the contract with Jeremy.

Unfortunately, our experience with this contractor has been extremely disappointing. We paid a premium price expecting quality workmanship and reliable customer service, but instead we were left with major warranty and installation issues that have never been resolved. The DekDrain under-deck dry system was improperly installed and has leaked from the beginning, causing water damage and rotting wood beneath the deck. We repeatedly contacted Jeremy Scott with photos, calls, texts, and emails requesting warranty service and repairs. Each time we were given empty promises that someone would come out ?soon,? but no meaningful action was ever taken. Communication eventually stopped altogether, and we have now been completely ignored despite 8 months of trying to resolve the situation professionally. Customer service after payment has been nonexistent. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company, especially if workmanship and warranty support are important to you.

We had a very disappointing project with DeckX and cannot recommend this contractor. This was a straightforward replacement project that included installing a waterproofing system under the deck. Jeremy recommended a product that made sense. We learned that the crews were all subcontractors. The first crew installed the product and the deck, we had too many leaks to count. It took more than a month for the next crew to start working on the project. Eventually, they resolved all the leaks and the final product looks good. It took three months longer than originally anticipated. Jeremy?s communications with us were scant, often we had no idea if or when a crew would ever show up. We found their invoicing was illogical and very difficult to follow. At the end, we realized that he over-billled us by $4000. we don?t think this was deliberate. He hounded us for payment beginning the day the project was completed. We ignored that which allowed time to see the billing errors.

The crew was so excellent. Same people came each day and they were awesome! I had a 12x16 deck built and it is beautiful! They had the project done in a week!

Replaced a two level cedar deck with Trex. The result was not only beautiful, but extra solid structurally. City of Kirkland took almost four months (Covid-related) to process our permit, and Jeremy was prompt responding to their questions and making minor adjustments. Great team, and Jeremy is on site almost daily to check on progress. Highly recommended.

J&S rebuilt our front porch for us and wow! Were we impressed with the work! The crew was on time, very courteous, built a gorgeous deck, and finished in four days. They cleaned up the site, and I can’t emphasize enough that the beauty and quality of the work was top-notch. I would recommend them highly and 100% will hire them again if I have another project in the future. I was that impressed.

I had an excellent experience with Jeremy and his crew. They were hired to replace an existing 2-level cedar deck with Trex. They were always on time, cleaned up as they went and produced a quality product. This customer based service extended to the final walk through and warranty. I plan on using them again.

First, I LOVE the finished product. Throughout the process, Jeremy was great at communication and making sure that I understood the choices I made. He met me at Dunn Lumber to assess the various levels of deck, and sent me home with color choices. Well informed. His team was incredible. They were polite and professional. When they were partially through certain pieces, they would ask me to come out to validate the work. In one case, I had a very different perspective. Without missing a beat, they pivoted directions, and gave me exactly what I wanted. I would hire Jeremy and team again, and have already recommended them to friends. Thank you!

Working with Jeremy was great! He came out to the house and was ready with an estimate in a timely manner. I asked him for different scenarios and he just kept working with us. I asked for bids from six different contractors and Jeremy was the only one who responded promptly and would price out the different options. He also came out to Dunn Lumber to give us more information. He really worked with us and the deck looks GREAT! Very pleased!

YOU CANT GO WRONG WITH JEREMY!!! Jeremy just finished up a deck project for me and I could not be more happy with his work. I had a budget to work with and Jeremy not once but twice worked with me and moved his price so we could do business together, I had cheaper quotes but I had a good feeling about Jeremy and I was right. Jeremy is very attentive, stays on top of the job and gets things completed on time and on budget. When he lifted off my orignal deck he found a concrete slab that had to be broken up and hauled away costing him an additional $1500 which he absorbed as he said - I quoted you a price and that will be the price. I also asked for some extras at the end of the job (extending the facia board) and there was a bit of an up-charge which Jeremy split with me. Do yourself a favor and go with Jeremy for any of your decking needs! A man of his word and easy to work with!

On time, took care of the work quickly, cleaned up and all looked great.
