I had my kitchen remodeled by DFW Stoneworks this past month. We are extremely happy with the work. The project included granite countertops, backsplash, cabinet painting and kitchen flooring. We love the new look of our kitchen and we will be using them again to remodel our bathrooms next year.

I went to DFW Stoneworks to get my kitchen countertops remodeled. I have never purchased granite before and I had no idea about what to expect. I called and spoke with a very nice young lady that set me an appointment for the very next day and sent me a confirmation email with the information of the rep I would be meeting. The rep that came to my house was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. She measured my kitchen and also brought samples for me to compare. I was so shocked that the price was so low that I also added both of my bathrooms. I am very pleased with the outcome and would defiantly recommend DFW Stoneworks to everyone!

Great work! I first saw DFW Stoneworks at their display at the State Fair. They were offering a substantial "package" deal during the fair. I felt the price was fair and they had a good selection of stone at their display to choose from. The deal was good for a substantial period of time and I finally made arrangements for them to measure my countertops to proceed with the project. They actually measured the countertops twice to ensure accuracy. I have a small kitchen so it only took about 3 hours for them to pull off the old countertops and install the granite countertops. I chose a 60/40 sink (part of the package) but had some problems with it due to the location of the pipes and where they came out of the wall. I had to had those pipes moved so as to allow the deep end of the sink to clear them and seat properly. If your house has the water pipes coming out of the wall at about 10" from the floor/bottom of the cabinet you shouldn't have this probl em. Because my countertops totaled fewer square feet than the minimum required for the "package", Ryan upgraded my stone to a higher priced stone at no extra cost. He also waived the usual $299.00 fee if their workers had to come out a second time (because of my plumbing problem). I'm very happy with the finished work and am glad I had the upgrade done.

DFW Stoneworks was very helpful with our remodel. They provided measurements and quotes quickly, and had us scheduled for install within days after that. The installation only took 2 days and my floors look wonderful!! Overall painless experience and would defiantly recommend!

Vendor/Customer communication was extremely poor. I had to call the installers to ask when they were going to perform thier work. They consistently missed time commitments and did not bother to call and say they were going to be late. They nickel and dime you to death for little extras they "forget" to mention during the initial cost estimate process. Stay away - worst experience with a contractor I've ever had.
Response by DFW Stoneworks: Respectfully regarding the conflicts. We publish our prices online. Invoices are extremely detailed with no additional charges. Designer appts. are set in 3 hour windows to allocate for prior appts. and travel conditions. Designers dedicate their full attention to customers and do not answer or make calls during appts. Customers do not have contact information for installers, only project managers. All installs are in a time arrival window of 10-2. We regret this customers feelings of a lack of communication. It is the responsibility of each customer to read and review our system of emails, timelines and detailed info specifically outlined.

The sales staff was very good about telling me what to expect and how to prepare for the project and worked with me to find the specific granite slabs that I would be happy with. The workers were very efficient and their work was very professional and completed quickly.

The countertops were not adequately sealed (they have provided us with a sealant to deal with that, but correct sealing should have been done in the first place) and there still is a leak in plumbing after reconnecting the sink.
Response by DFW Stoneworks: All of our granite is sealed with a high grade sealant before it is installed. Our company always applies two coats of sealant on Kashmire White. The customer demanded that the granite be installed before two coats of sealant could be applied, and they were given instruction to apply another coat of sealer immediately. The customer did NOT do this, and a small stain appeared. The customer was given instructions on how to remove the stain and given a free bottle of sealant. The small drip under the kitchen sink was hard to detect in an hour�s time; the plumber was sent out the same day to tighten the valve. This was resolved in immediately.

Company was slow in completing the job but quality of work was good. It took five days to complete a job that should have taken two days. It appears they could not get a crew together. Employees would arrive unprepared to do the work and spend a lot of time shopping at HD for material. The worst part is that I lost a lot of time from work and as a contractor, I do not get paid when I do not work.
