Stamped Concrete Installation

If a negative rating were available, that is what I would use. I do not post on Social Media but would be remiss not to at least place a 'warning' of sorts for other home owners wishing to upgrade their most expensive and important purchase. Throughout my trip down this unfortunate path, I was disenchanted to find out that the owner is only responsive when problems on job escalated. No follow-though or follow-up. Job promised (stamped/sealed concrete) is NOT what was delivered. Hopes were high for this job but I was unaware that the pics they sent me to choose from are from the internet and NOT their actual work! I was put off and calls/texts ignored several times throughout the duration of what took (and is not up to par) 38 days when I promised it would only take 3. 1. Start date was changed repeatedly - but I still waited patiently. 2. Concrete was poured incompletely. 3. Concrete colour and 'antiquing' were put down wrong so it got ALL OVER THE BACK OF MY NEW HOUSE! 4. The first treatment of concrete was so bad that they had to use a 'restorative' product - on a new job?!? YES - A new job! 5. Sealer was applied improperly in that they ROLLED it on using a paint tray and a roller which resulted in missed spots and 'pools' of heavy, high gloss resin that holds bubbles......product should have been sprayed for evenness, per the manufacturer. To top this off, I was never given a contract outlining a Scope of Work when I asked nor was a payment option/requirement ever stipulated. I believe in paying all the money for a job well done and being what was promised but at this point only materials are warranted being paid for. The exorbitant amount of time they spent 'fixing' their mistakes and screw-ups has no bearing on a final 'cost' in all practicality and in keeping a good business practice. I was totally unaware of their lack of experience in stamped concrete as this decision was based on a referral - may fault I didn't do my own homework. The workers kept trying to 'band-aid' the issues instead of going back to basics to do the job correctly. After speaking with the supplier (Euclid Chemical) I learned that there were SEVERAL steps that were done wrong. There is clearly a lack of training with the company, but more importantly - to me - a severe lack of caring about their customer. I finally had to put a stop to the madness of daily wondering what would happen next OR if anyone would even show up as they said they would, that I (per Dr's orders since my health began to suffer over this debacle) had to place an 'End Date' on the job myself and will seek out a well trained and reputable contractor. There were many more pitfalls that I did not mention but I'm sure you get an idea of what it was like to deal with these types of people - promising and not delivering with a bad attitudes along with way. Good luck to all who want to improve the beauty of their home with a stamped concrete product, but this is not the company t
