Charged us $600.00 just for an estimate. Removed light plate switch and said he couldn't put back then left it there for another electrician to fix it. I will not use home advisor again and advise anyone who wants to use it to check out other options.
Response by DK Electrical Solutions, Inc.: We did not charge anything for the estimate we provide as our estimates are free. We did charge for the three hour evaluation to determine the extent of the Knob and Tube wiring in the home which was approved and signed for prior to performing. The switch plate mentioned above was a switch that was recessed in the wall due to the fact the wall was finished with 1" thick tongue and groove wood planks which covered part of the switch and plate. The technician explained not the homeowner that this was not code compliant and repairs would be need to be made if we were to open it up and that it would be best if we didn't open it up at all. The homeowner insisted that it be opened up and that he would handle the repairs to put it back together as he did not want to incur the fees to make the necessary repairs. Everyone involved was totally aware of what was going on prior to anything being done. When we called to follow up with the homeowner to make sure they were happy with our services, as we always do, we didn't get any answer so we left a voicemail but never recieved a call back.

DK came out quickly after I contacted them. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it within an hour. The problem was an electrical outlet in which a black wire was disconnected to the outlet. This cause two other outlets not to work. Once the problem outlet was fixed, the two other outlets worked. I strongly recommend their service for electrical issues. The service person did a great job. He was polite and professional while dealing with the problem.

He came first day late and only gave the estimate and I paid half. Next day he came and said he could NOT put in the track lighting I had wanted installed after taking down old fixture, I had to buy one that hugged the ceiling and to call when I had it. After three calls over a week leaving messages no reply so neighbor installed it for me. It was stairway so dark, I'm 80 so did not want to fall.

Dk Electrical Solutions exceeded my expectations!! The Electrician Brenden was so personable that he made me feel at ease when I first met him. I shared the quote that he gave me to a member of my family who also is an electrician, and he told me that the pricing was fair for my project. On the day that Brenden came to do the job, he was once again polite, professional, and personable. He and Dillion completed the job in a timely manner, and worked with me to ensure that I was satisfied. They then cleaned up any debris left behind. I will recommend them to all of my family and friends!! I will definitely use them again when and if my cousin, the electrician is unavailable!! One other thing, I was very happy that they didn’t charge hourly for my project. This allowed me to be at ease and not feel worried that they were rushing to complete my job. Thanks DK Electrical Solutions for a job well done!!!!

I was not happy with this work. The technician did get electric to the outlet, but the switch no longer works. I said it did before, but he convinced me that the switch controlled a different outlet. Not so. Now I have a switch on the wall that turns on nothing.
Response by DK Electrical Solutions, Inc.: We performed a troubleshoot and a repair for this call on 5/22/18. Our records show the job was completed and we performed a routine follow up call on 5/23/18 to ensure everything was completed to the customers satisfaction. There was no answer so we left a voicemail. We never received a return call so we assumed everything was completed satisfactory. I called the customer once we seen this review to try and resolve the problem but she explained she did not want us to come make further repairs since she sold the home.
