"This project was interesting in that we found the original construction had a problem. All plumbing must be properly vented to operate correctly. In this case, the bathtub drain was too far from the vent. Additionally, the supply water lines were in an exterior wall that we could not insulate to R-24 behind the pipes. The solution was to bring everything over to the other side of the alcove. Once we reconnected the drain to the sewer, and the water supplies to the new valves-we were able to complete our work. Now the bathtub drains as it should, and we don't have to worry about pipes freezing in the exterior wall."
"Pat was great to work for. After we finished her new basement bathroom, she contracted us for additional work. We laid tile in her mudroom, and then completed 2 sets of sidewalks and 2 renovations to a beautiful 1-year-old deck she had built by another contractor. In this case, Pat wanted both the front and rear staircases recessed into the deck about 10 feet. We added new metal handrails to the staircases to match the rest of the deck. Now her deck is finished, with proper concrete landings and fancy lighted post caps."
