The owner of D-One Construction is a reasonable person, very customer service oriented and does what he says when he says it will be done. Easy to work with and a man of his word. Great experience. Would definitely hire them for other projects. Their bid was almost right at the number I calculated for the scope of work that I wanted done. In fact, he was $5.87 less than my budget.

Never finished the job

They did a repair. A few days later some of the shingles came off again. I called them to come back and all they do is give you the run around. Now I'm gonna have to pay another company to fix what I already paid them for!

Look no further. Hire this company. But if you're curious why......read on. I think for a re-roofing of a 5000 square foot home one should get 3 bids,. I did. However, knowing what I know now, I can say D-1 is all you need. How do you improve on perfection? But here's my story: My original shingles were 28 years old, they didn't owe me a thing, It was time. My first bid came from a person I had seen do a neighbor's home. He has a 5.0 rating and I was almost certain he was my guy. Second bid came from a nearby company with 20 years experience and a 5.0 rating, too. The third bid was D-1. Now I knew the first two guys were selling GAF. I had heard the name and didn't think any further. So I figured I better call D-1 prior to our appt. to ask which brand they installed. It is Owens Corning and at that point I was actually disappointed to hear that and almost cancelled my appointment, but it lead me to do a YouTube search on Single Quality. Why I hadn't done this first is still a mystery to me! So what did I discover? OC is consistently ranked in the top 3, while GAF is no where to be found. Do your own due diligence and look for the YT vids by a guy with a Russian name. The OC Duration shingle is so superior. You will quickly understand the importance of the nailing strip, the embedded granules and all the supporting OC materials. But shingles are just the beginning. The D-1 install crew was meticulous, thorough, and happy. Odd to note happy, right.? Well, if you saw my roof you'd understand. Most of it is 12-12 and the Victorian style turret is 22-12. As the lead installer guy said, in one word as he strained his neck to look up, STEEP! Another qualifier for me was working with an owner and not just some sales guy. Years in business was another. David Ouimette (CEO) was on the job site every day and his 9-10 years of experience is evident by the number of satisfied customers. Important to know: there was extra care needed on the cricket and chimney flashing. It's a work of art now. This, and multiple installation particulars, were all explained to me (I ask lots of questions) with complete transparency and patience. In summary: I found a reputable company, with a seasoned installation crew, run by a guy that is completely dedicated to excellence, installing the best product available. Was I wiling and happy to pay a premium for premium customer service and product? Sure! But I didn't have to. David's bid was also the LOWEST of the 3. You can go back to my the first line now. Sweet Dreams!

Excellent experience from beginning to end. Inspection done at the time stated. Written estimate very specific with what I was getting. No universal this or generic that. Specified all Owens Corning products for my roof. That also upgraded my warranty. Price was reasonable for what I was getting. Not the cheapest nor were they the most expensive. Only negative was the rain but that does NOT take any points off.

They have awesome customer service skills, knowledgeable and personable, reliable.

Michael accommodated my schedule did some extra cleanup on my other skylights. Repairing a leaking skylight is tricky, far it’s holding water.
