Project: Clean and Inspect a Chimney or Fireplace
When I called to set up the appointment, i told them I had two units to clean/inspect and I was quoted a price of $246. When the job was done I was given a bill for $409. I said why? They said because it was for two units and I said I was quoted when I made appointment $246 for the two. Why the change? And he said they should have never quoted you that price as that is for one unit. Not very happy about this but I did pay and am happy about the job they did. Just not happy it cost more than I had budgeted.

I hired Daizy Sweeps for inspection and cleaning of our natural fireplace after moving into our home. The employee coming to do the inspection called 5 minutes prior to the appointment time to let me know that he'd be about 30 minutes late. 3 hours later he pulled up after I had already left him a message telling him that I needed to reschedule because I had to leave for work soon. He assured me he would be able to finish in time so I allowed them to proceed. The cleaning was way over priced for the work that was put into it; in which over half the time he was looking at his partner talking while vacuuming blindly. After the inspection, he discussed a few things that were supposedly in need of replacement or repair before we could even use the fireplace, so we scheduled an appointment for Rodney to come out to estimate the work. I was assured that he would be able to finish within an hour so I could make it to work on time. 3 minutes before the appointment was scheduled I got a call from an unknown number and no message. After 20 minutes of waiting for Rodney to show, I called the number hoping it was his. Rodney answered and told me that he would be an hour late, at which point I needed to leave for work AGAIN. He then told me that I didn't even need to be present for this appointment. This would have been nice to know when making the appointment considering the times they're available are in the middle of the work day and many people, like myself, would need to ask off of work to make the appointment. These were the main events that affected my confidence in Daizy Sweeps, even though there were smaller things that were also disappointing and unprofessional. The employees at this company have little respect for their clients' time, and at no point was there an apology made. The poor communication, refusal to take responsibility, severe tardiness, and poor client service quickly lost my trust and I will not be recommending or hiring them for any work in the future.

I believe that the owner is knowledgeable. He was very glad to share photos of projects he had done that were unusual and challenging and turned out great in the end. Unfortunately, he did not give that same level of attention to my small project. The team arrived an hour late. They were courteous, but somewhat unprepared. There ended being a problem with the installation and Daisy Sweeps took no ownership for it and did not follow up to resolve it. I liked the people, but I would not use them again. Also, I had other quotes at a better price, but the owner said that his quality was the best so I trusted that and went with Daisy Sweeps. I was not upset that a problem came up after the installation, I was disappointed that they were unwilling to check out the problem and work with me on a fair resolution. Unfortunately, I cannot give a positive recommendation.

Very friendly young men, the only negative thing I can say is that they told me one time but then changed it due to someone leaving the company. I understand that can happen but that changed my day also. . I would hire them again for sure.
