Dale Waite

I had high hopes for Mr. Waite as he was very pleasant and knowledgeable when we first met. We signed the contract in August and I was told work would begin in 6 weeks, but it was not until Late November that he began work on my deck. He told me he was having trouble finding help which I believe, but he was horrible at communicating that and any updates to me. Just FYI, he does not own a smartphone so texting him is not an option. 6 weeks after completing the job, he finished: We paid him very generously for his work and it was subpar at best. He left much of the rotted wood from my original deck joists in place and just reinforced it with new wood. He did not replace my old fascia with new fascia and told me that Lowes did not carry it and that I could just paint the exterior joists myself. Just so you know, Lowes just carry fascia boarding for Trex., you just have to order it. These were just a couple of the many issues I have with the completed work and looking back, I should have just completed the work myself, but I just thought a pro would do a better job and knock out the work in no time. Boy... was I mistaken. If I were you, I would look elsewhere for a deck builder.

He did not complete the project, took my deposit and does not have the products. He has the money since August

Dale did a great job on my new deck. He was patient with the changes I came up with, discussed with me what would work and not work, and did a great job implementing the changes that did work. I am very pleased!

Tonya M. : Mr. Waite started a suroom project for my 81 year old parents in Oct. 2020 and it isn't complete yet. He took their money and will not return our calls. He also has several unfinished issues that he needs to come back for on a screened in porch that was started June 2020. He will not return calls.

Dale promised us a screened in porch. We agreed and he collected half the cost of the project at the time of signing. He told us that he will cash our check when he was ready to build. Mr. Waite cashed our check on May 12th, because he was ready to start. We were told that the project will start between two weeks after cashing the check. Dale continued to make excuses every single week. Five and a half months later we still did not have a deck/porch. We did never got a start date of our project-to this day. At this point we were frustrated and disappointed so we asked for our money back. We canceled the project, but Dale told us he wont give us our money back because we breached the contract. I am still in shock wondering how much more patient we could have been. This project was not a small change.

Dale did an excellent job building my new back deck, he even suggested a great alternative to my design that worked out in my favor. The end product was beautiful. Iâ ve already gotten lots of compliments on it. He left his work area spotless and I would recommend him to anyone.

Dale and his crew do excellent work. Quality workmanship. They tore out our old rotted deck and built a covered deck with a shingled roof. It looks great and blends in perfectly with the house design. They also installed new patio doors, built a new ramp for utility building, and built new wider steps into our garage. All their work is more solid and better quality than what was done originally to the house. Dale found water damage around the door frame, fixed it and made sure the finished project was perfect. The crew kept their work area clean and picked up all nails. They were courteous and hard working. Highly recommend Dale and will hire him again for future projects.

Dale is infinitely flexible and totally amenable to the vagaries of his clients. Result: you end up with EXACTLY what you envisioned. I did and I'm a happy camper!

Dale is very personable and friendly. He used above standard materials and showed his many years of experience. We replaced a deck on our home and it looks great! It was exactly what we wanted!

My wife and I are so very pleased with the wood deck replacement that Dale Waite completed last week. We replaced a rotting 32 year old deck with a brand new treated lumber deck that steps down into the yard. Dale built the new deck based on our personal design. The end result was perfect. All old deck materials, old shrubbery and debris was all hauled away from the yard. I highly recommend Dale Waite for any type of deck rebuild or replacement. I have before, during and completed deck photos if anyone needs to see them. Excellent work!!!!

He's on time and is very knowledgeable. Many years of experience and it shows. Very good at explaining why a specific course of action would be best. Responds quickly to messages and is honest and trustworthy.

Dale is very personable and responds to requests/calls very quickly. He replaced a deck on our house and the quality of work was excellent!! We hope to use his services in the furrow on more projects. Highly recommend Dale!

Dale and Allen did a great job on our carport enclosure and deck, going above standard practices on construction and material. We are currently waiting on the rain to stop for a week or two so they can start our new carport.

Dale is working on a framing project and is doing a great job. He discovered some water damage from prior years and was very upfront about it and honest about recommendations to remedy the problem. He is trustworthy and honest.

Update- built a great looking, super solid covered screened porch... then it started to leak. After several calls, and Dale attempting to blame my gutters. He came out and put some tar on the roof and the leak actually worsened. After weekly calls, I left one last message explaining that I was going to have to hire a roofer if I did not hear back..........crickets. This was a $14k project that I would have hope Dale would have stood behind. Instead, I paid another $750 to fix a leak I should not have had. Dale builds a great deck and seems to be a good guy, but do not hire him for a roof. Overall a disappointing experience.

Dale was very upbeat & professional. Did a very good job on my deck. In the future, when I need more work to be done, I will call him again.

Friendly and knowable and highly recommend

Dale responded very quickly to my inquiry and promptly submitted a proposal. I hired him and he completed my project in a timely manner and within budget. He was always available to me via phone. The build quality is excellent - he did not cut corners and, in fact, he might have even overbuilt it a little bit. I WILL use him again.

I contacted Dale to replace the carpeted stairs in my home with hard wood. I also planned to put down LVP flooring and have my entire home painted. Dale indicated he could handle all of these projects for one price. Overall, the work is good; however, it was considerably more expensive than if I had hired each job independently. There was a contracted price, which I did agree to, simply because it was easier to have all work done within a very short time span, rather than have to work with many different schedules. Dale is good at communicating and let me know each day what would be done the next day. Also, there were several areas that I was not pleased with and he worked and completed those to my specifications. The job was completed ahead of schedule and overall I am pleased with the work. I would recommend Dale for wood work projects.

Dale & I worked together long distance. He was excellent in keeping me informed of problems & the progress of the task. I would use Dale again for future projects.

There was a quality defect. I called and Dale responded very quickly and very professionally ensuring that the defect was corrected. Dale stands by his work and was very time conscious with the project. I would highly recommend this contractor!

Mr. Waite and his Helper replaced a 8x10 deck, 12 ft. high with 15 steps. Used 6x6 post, everything screwed together and the outer bands legged screwed to the post and the house. They hauled away old deck and cleaned up around work area. If I need something else done I will call Mr. Waite to see if he wants to give a price quote. Dale and Allen did a FANTASTIC job on our deck. They built a 10' x 12' deck and installed french exterior doors to go out to the deck. They worked efficiently and did an amazing job. I plan to now hire them to do tiling work for me!
