Avoid this contractor. We contracted for a 700 sq ft addition for a study, master bedroom, and closet. Also siding and metal roof for the existing house and addition and stone facade in the front. We had to sue for breach of contract in Polk County Civil court for $36,000 awarded 10 Aug 2020. We terminated the contract after 7 months, a little over 50 percent of work was complete... Poor workmanship, mismanagement of customer funds and unethical business practices. We had to hire another contractor to fix Simmons work and complete the job. The foundation work lacked finishing the crawlspace floor, drainage provisions around and under, vents, sump pump, and others. Only order half of the metal roof and improperly installed. Sided entire house with no provisions for stone facade work. Electrical rough-in had to be totally reworked. Simmons had a rolling two-week excuse for delays. He was contracted to provide six lien waivers refusing to provide any of the waivers or any documentation of how he spent customer funds

Dale went above and beyond to re floor my entire home. Exceptional service and very friendly person. I would definitely hire him again for my flooring needs and other handyman projects. He seems to be a jack of multiple trades.

They did a great job for a great price

The project was to completely replace all flooring. They were incredibly patient with delayed decisions, changes, and my unpredictable schedule. Provided thorough explanations regarding products and processes. Found solutions to unique requests, tackled additional projects to ensure quality work, and met my insanely high expectations. Recommended to my coworkers and have hired for additional projects.

Very personable, went above to make sure the project was done right. Even though it was a smaller project they were very willing.

Many jobs were performed at my request. Everything was completed in a timely manner, some even early. The workers were very informative and polite. All goals were completed beyond my expectations.

Our project was a lot to take on, but these guys did it and they did a amazing job! They were always on time, they worked around our schedule and the workmen were very friendly. Overall, it turned out great!

I hired a contractor to manage the work I needed done since I needed the job done in 6 weeks. 4 months later I am having to hire other people to take care of the work. I also had to call almost daily to find out what was going on and get workers at the house. There was no time management skills. The Contrator would tell me on multiple occasions that he was losing money on my job; which isn?t the customers issue or concern. He also lied regarding important safety issues. He assigned a site manager but I rarely saw him either. The only good thing to come from this experience is finding a reliable and great tile guy. I do not recommend Simmons General Contracting!

overall terrible experience. wouldn't use them again or reccomend them at all. I am very regretful about choosing this company in many ways.

The estimate was done quickly and professionally. The work was exactly to specs and the craftmanship is perfect. This company went out of it's way to save me money and presented several different options. I had two back exterior doors replaced In a house built begun in 1905. I am hiring them to replace the kitchen and laundry room floor and then begin to replace windows They are professional in every way.
