Custom Paving

William (Bill) Rafferty dba Custom Paving, Daily Paving, JR Construction. Run as fast as you can when he shows up. Better yet don't even contact him. He's scammer. I hired him to sealcoat my driveway. He arrived on a spitting rain day. 3 hours late. Hot tared the joints and cracks and sealed the driveway. It rained the same night, all the next day through the night and into the next day. Once it had stopped raining and the driveway dried. It was obvious the sealcoat had all washed off and collected on my lawn. I called Bill, let him know what happened and he told me it was no problem and he would fix it. After 7 days of phone calls texts and false promises, I had to contact the State Police and start a scam suit. Once I informed him t I had contacted the police and an arrest warrant was going to be issued, he showed up withing 30 minutes to reseal the driveway. Once again stay away from this guy.

If anyone comes across this review. Stay away from Bill .this guy is is the worst. He is a lies and cheat .he did my driveway. Had nothing but problems from the beginning. My Driveway is just over 2 years old and it looks like it 20 years old. It is totally falling apart every we are. I seen dirt roads holdup better then his job. So think three times before you Hire this guy . He is a gypsy.

I hired Bill Rafferty to add stone to my driveway in spring of 2024. He did not arrive on time and then did the job in the dark at night. He got paid and guaranteed us that if we had any problem, he would come back and fix it. Within a week we contacted him to let him know that we had large accumulations of water at the end of the driveway. He said he would come back. He never did after numerous phone calls and text messages that he would not answer. In addition, he used Mayor as a reference, saying that he did a lot of work in our small town . Beware of him and his company. He will take your money and run. This is no way to run a business

If I could leave leave 0 stars I would. Bill and his team damaged my yard. I now have a small pond. They also damaged my existing drive way. They also damaged my electric to my septic. They under ordered material and they work they did has begun to wear to the point it must be re done. I have a contractor coming out this week to check the septic. We believe it is also damaged. He was always rushing around because his equipment kept breaking down. I saw the skid loader in disrepair more than I saw it running. And he left 4 busted batteries behind my shed for me to deal with. Call anyone one else but him.

The owner was there and did most of the work, he was particular with the work because it is his business.

Bill and his team did an awesome job! High quality workmanship at a great price. You can tell he cares about the work he does.

Great experience. Only issue was getting in touch with Bill Rafferty. Did not return voice mails. Work however was exactly as quoted and quality! I would certainly recommend them.

Work was excellent and cost was reasonable.

Overall great job. Very professional. I did find a small area of damage to the lawn but nothing to be upset about.

Bill was on time. He explained everything thoroughly. I am very pleased with his work.

The paving done for our property was okay, but everything else that followed was not. Timeliness is not a thing with them. He would say his team would arrive by a certain time. ex. 10 am, and then show up three hours after the fact. If you're going to give a customer an arrival time then show up during that time or don't give one at all. However, the biggest headache was when either one of his men or he ran over our well in their haste to get the job done. What followed was a cat and mouse chase with phone calls. The company who dug us a new well (after a week of no water) only did so because they were informed insurance was covering it by Mr. Rafferty and the claim was being processed. We learned, however, the claim hadn't event been started so nothing had been approved. It's clear Mr. Rafferty is not a fan of accountability and needs great improvement on his communication. I'm glad many of you have had good experiences, but I am not one of them. Do NOT use this company.

They were quick to respond for a visit and a quote. Two other companies quoted as well but Custom Paving's owner Bill Rafferty visited, sized up the job and within several hours called back with a quote that was very reasonable. I was very comfortable with his approach because rather than just give me a quote, he discussed options to make certain what I wanted done. Before the job started I decided to include some additional area to be covered and he adjusted his plans with no hassle for a modest additional cost. His crew did a remarkable job, even repairing a hole in a foundation block I was unaware of, at no additional cost. I've already had several people ask me for his information.

I am very pleased with Bill and teams work. They cutout the area and installed asphalt millings exactly as planned and it looks great!

The team was knowledgeable, attentive and pleasant. The bid was accurate no hidden fees. We added work and that was priced reasonably. Wish they did interiors!

The man quotes a certain amount for the job put forth in the contract, but he does not do the job he said he would do. I did not get what I paid for.

Small job Bill would do a great job!! My job was just too big for him and his crew. He did come back,, he said in may !! And showed up in November!! Nice man !! Job just to big and outcome was not the best.

WOW! Custom Paving is spot on! The owner Bill came out after hours in the rain to give us his very fair price to pave our driveway. His crew showed up on time. Very respectful to us. The work that they did was a work of art to us, Beautiful Job! They stayed until job was done and actually cleaned up after themselves. I wouldnâ t hesitate to hire them again. To bad the review only goes to 5, they deserve a 10!

The Crew was here only six hours and gave me a gorgeous Driveway. They worked consistently and efficiently together to get the job done. They even hosed The dust off my car and the side of my house when done. I am a more than satisfied customer.

Yes Bill the owner was very professional and they did a great job! They were on time to start the job and the crew with Bill worked hard throughout the day! Bill did all he said he would plus! The finish job looked great. I would hire them again. Also it was at a great price.
