Punctual did what he said he would do. Dan was not on the job. Extra small things added up. I would recommend Dan.

Dan Dolby gave me a bid that was very reasonable and started his worker three days later. He checked on him twice a day(and me) to make sure work was performed correctly. A very honest man!

First rate service. Dan Dolby Painting has been painting my houses for over 3 decades. I can rely on Dan's honesty and his passion for making sure I am delighted with the new changes to my living spaces.

(5/5/2017) I will lead with the customer service aspect of this experience because this is far more important than the skill set, which I confirm is great. Initially our interaction was quite positive and respectful. However a mistake was made on his part which I promptly advised him of - in one bedroom he was to paint the walls a specific color and the adjacent bathroom a different color. The colors however were switched. For this I requested a credit (rather than have him repaint the room which would require additional time and resources, and would present an inconvenience to my family) and was given an open door to make a proposition. I am extremely reasonable and suggested an amount that would cover the workmanship performed in the bedroom and bathroom. Certainly it would be worth more to him to issue a credit than the cost associated with repainting. He responded verbally that my proposed amount was 'absurd.' As we discussed the final balance further, he stated that legally there was no need for a credit since I had accepted the mistake and that there was no pain and suffering involved. In short I was not entitled to a credit in his mind. I wonder if being a female played into his initial responses too because his delivery was less than savory. I had to call my husband over for additional support; Only then was there a marked change in his attitude and disposition. Ultimately, I settled for a nominal credit - less than my initial proposition. I was not looking to short change anyone. There are plenty of talented contractors, however, the ones who accept responsibility for their mistake and remain dedicated to delivering stellar customer service will always get my vote and recommendation.

Dan did a great job painting our ~700 sq. ft. loft with vaulted ceilings. Professional and courteous and easy to talk to. First time I met him was like I knew him for years! Dan will share his professional opinion and provide information to help make decisions on color, finish type, etc. I would highly recommend Dan. His workmanship and attention to details is A++!

Dan is a true professional. Every aspect of the work was done to perfection. He is cordial, courteous and did a great job. As an added bonus he has a good sense of humor and got along great with our dogs.

Having recently relocated back to the area, we purchased an older home that needs a great deal of work. Dan was exceptional to work with. He and his team worked to repair all of the wall/ceiling problems with nail pops and seams separating, did an excellent job on all the trim, and came back after other contractor work was done to do touch up on the walls and around the stairs. We'll definitely use Dan for additional work that we have planned for 2017.

Dan did a great job! I end up having him not only paint my inside rooms but also my front porch. Both jobs were done on budget and within the time quoted. My home looks great inside and out. Dan was a pleasure to work with and did a professional job.
