About us
Dan specializes in unique transformations. He creatively updates a 100 year old farmhouse and a 21st century Manhattan loft with the same eye toward solid design and functional grace. Having graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee with a degree in architectural studies he utilizes his backgrounds in architecture. Engineering, and interior design to seamlessly weave the traditional and contemporary. Substance and style meld to create sophisticated, stylish and warm spaces where no detail overshadows another. Additionally he is skilled at exterior renovations focusing on landscape, hardscape, outbuildings and follies. His designs focus on balancing the natural and the man-made; siteing buildings comfortably in the landscape, and framing views from inside and out. Having worked for several Manhattan designers he launched Dan Ruhland Designs in 2007. He has the ability to listen to a client and translate their vision into a reality which surpasses their expectations.
