A subcontractor knocked on my door wanting payment because Darlington had failed to pay them. They threatened to put a lien on my house.

Installed Quartz counter tops. Designed different formation of kitchen counter tops. Great to work with !

Jim was great to work with. Everything was straightforward, honest, and quality.

They did a wonderful job!

Horrendous experience. Did not complete work, hired people that did not complete the work properly and there was no follow thru to make sure work completed, did not clean up, did not return multiple calls or emails, did not have accurate accounting of the money spent, shoddy workmanship, covered up outdoor lights and bathroom lights, said he would take care of it but did not. I would happily discuss with anyone including Mr Darlington but unable to do so as does not return calls.

We had 3 concerns about our project, only one was corrected. Lack of follow up was not impressive.

The person who did the actual building of the deck was excellent. The quality of the installation was great. We had to wait a month for work to get started. It was pricey. We were told several different completion dates. The date we were told it would be finished was 1 month after signing the initial papers and the actual date was 6 weeks after signing the initial papers. We were told that they would use the best quality supplies but the lumber was delivered from Menards. We used some leftover lumber for a 3' x 8'addition to the deck and were charged an additional $400 for it.

I had waited on another contractor to return and fix the caulking job on my crown molding for over two years. He came to see what I was not happy with, said he'd find a solution, but never returned my calls after that. Was thoroughly pleased with the timing of doing the job, the quality of work and final appearance.

Work started on time, neat job, cleaned up as working and when job was finished.

Had to wait nearly a month for the crew to show up and install gutters and downspouts, but the material and workmanship was absolutely first class.

Excellent job but a little pricey. Once at job site performed as promised. Deck is beautiful!

We have been very pleased with Darlington Construction work on our house over the past 2 years. They remodeled two bathrooms, entertainment area, a deck, and replaced doors on our house. They increased storage in both bathroom, added an additional sink in each bathroom, and gave us a wonderful, granite/marble/glass shower. We receive many complements on that shower. The also replaced our fixtures with many upscales fixtures. After Darlington Construction completed our entertainment area, Best Buy installed a big screen television and speakers. Best Buy staff took a picture of the entertainment area and stated it is one of the best stone entertainment areas they have seen. We are also seeing savings in our gas bill after they replaced our drafty front and garage door with fiberglass doors. This past summer they changed our deck to a screen porch. We have used the screen porch a lot after they completed it. We eat outside more often now. Also, if we are not happy with they way something looks, Jim and his crew will complete it to our satisfaction. We are looking forward to hiring Darlington Construction for all our construction needs in the future.

Jim called me right away and explained what the cost would be, I agreed and sent a 50% deposit. He did say that since this was a smaller job that he would do it as he had a man open in the next 2 weeks. That was fine with us. Jim did call in less than 1 week and set the work for the following Monday. The carpenter was there on time and very nice young man. He installed our storm door and cleaned up after he was done. The door works great. Very good will use them again

Because Jim runs a small company, he can give you personalized service. This is important on a small job in your home. It also allows him to keep his costs down. I was concerned that the job he did for me was not going to be finished well, but after time, it was finished to my satisfaction.

Darlington Construction responded quickly to my calls and arrived on time. Weather held up the project a bit, but that wasn't their fault. They damaged a door and had to re-order it. It did take quite a while for them to re-install it, but there was no rush on my part so it wasn't a problem. I was very happy with their work.

Darlington Construction found a tiler that did a fabulous job. He was well worth the wait. I thought the drywaller could have been better. Overall I was satisfied.

The quality of work was good, the cusotmer service was excellent as was kept informed of any type of issues that came up. Was able to match colors.

I didn't feel pressured or rushed to make any decisions. No surprise expenses. Very friendly trustworthy people. The job done was beautiful.

Darlington Construction did a wonderful job for us. We hired him to do the restoration of our front porch and he did phenomenal work, matching the repair to the original blueprints of our 1916 prairie style home. Jim also repaired our foundation and did a great job with that as well. Darlington Construction went above and beyond all my expectations. He even cleaned out my basement from old debris and also did yard work for us. Darlington is truly, a jack of all trades. Jim was prompt, professional, and extremely detail oriented.
