I recently discovered a reoccurring wastewater backup from the basement slab drain of my residence. It obviously evoked the dual fear of any homeowner of both the cost of repairing whatever was at fault, and the equally daunting concern of finding a capable and ethical contractor to do the necessary work. Since the water backup was most associated with the home's basement water system and laundry, I was able to take a few days to do a multi-source review of my local area's plumbing contractors and typical costs for related services. In view of the potential seriousness of the problem and its solution, I wanted to find a company that was really expert in drainage/sewer problems and repair. On my list of candidates, DB's Plumbing and Drain was at the top. I called them first and they had a technician at my home the next day. While the problem seemed most likely a blockage between the laundry area and the main stack, we also considered the main pipe between the stack and the county sewer line. Options for taking a phased approach were presented and there was absolutely NO pressure to do more than necessary and/or all at once. I, however, wanted to clean both segments of the drainage and sewer lines. While I also have a rule of getting multiple bids for any substantial home repair work, my very positive experience to that point, and the prices quoted (which my research showed to be well within the competitive range) made me feel confident to go with DB's Plumbing and Drain then and there. I was not disappointed. The technician got to work that day. We found some blockage in both sections of the pipes that were cleaned and a camera inspection was conducted, both during the cleaning and afterwards, to check the progress and the results, respectively. Everyone I interacted with at DB's Plumbing and Drain were professional, capable and friendly. I was fully satisfied with the work they did to resolve the problem. Based upon the totality of my above experience, I would not hesitate to recommend others to consider DB Plumbing and Drain for their own home plumbing and drainage needs.
