I received a call back on a Sunday, on a holiday weekend, from Davies Contracting, to arrange an evaluation if my air conditioning problem. It turned out to be only a fuse, and the work was performed the very next day, on a federal holiday, and the A/C was restored, relieving my pregnant tenant during 80 degree humid weather. What a relief!

i hired them to do a summer check on my air conditioner and air cleaner. the man who came seemed like he was asleep. he checked the freon in my unit and said it was low but it will be fine. he didnt looked inside the unit just gave a glance. so today the unit died and i couldnt get ahold of the company and called someone else. they came out and the new guy couldnt figure out what the first guy did as there was no freon in the unit at all. there was a big leak the first guy seemed to have missed since he didnt even look inside or where the fan is. i canceled my check and will never use davies again.

They were a little slow getting back with the estimate, but once we got it they were right there and did a great job!

George came in and went right to the problem and fixed it. I would hirevhim again.

Even though we told them we thought the problem was freon he did not come equipped and had to leave. He was gone quite a long time which tied up our morning. I really hate it when repairmen don't come equipped.

I called three other repair places that were closer to my house and non could come out so I called Homeadvisor.com and they recommended Davies. Bill answered all my questions and within 30 minutes he had someone out to my house. They were polite, curious and professional. Even the price was great for after hours emergency services.

Two other a/c techs looked at the unit. One said the air-handler circuit board was bad, the other said the outside unit's circuit board was bad. Davies' guy fixed the problem with a contactor and a wire-nut. Great technician, excellent response time, less than an hour on the clock. FANDANGTASTIC!!

JP provided a very detailed report and was willing to answer any and all questions that we had. As a result of the inspection, we decided against the house and saved us from a big mistake. I would definitely recommend JP for a home inspection.

Mr. Davies was very thorough in his inspection. He inspected each structure on the property. He was able to point out every little thing that may be of concern and how quickly each thing needed to be addressed. Both he and his Assistant were knowledgeable, polite, and didn't waste any time. Not only was I impressed with his work, but the home owner and the Realtor were as well.

JP was on time and even provided a courtesy call prior to arriving. Upon arrival he immediately started the home inspection. He pointed out and provided an explanation for each issues he was finding. He was very thorough throughout the home, and even provided advice for possible other issues that he wasn't inspecting for (possible mold in drawers/cabinets). Although the seller of the home was present during the inspection and providing explanations and extra information, JP remained unbiased. He gave both the seller and myself a debrief following the inspection, which was very similar to the final report. I received the finalized report the same day as the inspection was done. The report was thorough and JP was willing to answer any questions I might have. He is very professional. Great overall experience. I recommend Davies Contracting to anyone needing a home inspection, especially first time home buyers.
