Commercial Asphalt Sealing
I hired Davis Coat in the fall of 2016 to seal approximately 25,000 sq ft of asphalt at my business. In the spring of 2017, all the sealant was peeling off (less then 6 months). I contacted Vincent and he showed up immediately. Vincent was surprised that the product he used was peeling up but he wanted to make it right with me. He suggested that he would pay for the labor but he wanted me to pay for the new seal coating product. I told him I shouldn't pay for anything so he was going to get back with me. Many weeks go by and I heard nothing from him so I contacted him again. Vincent showed up again but just to look around for a second time. After this second meeting, Vincent said he would be back to fix the problem at no cost to me. I have tried to get Vincent back onsite to fix the problem but he will not return my calls. I would never recommend this company to preform ANY type of asphalt work, either for commercial or private. Vincent is full of empty promises!!

Vincent stopped by last week doing some work in the neighborhood & asked if I needed my driveway sealed, told him had bigger problems of the work Land & son did that now caused flooding, so explained to him I was trying to put in a drainage system, he said they had the tools & would be glad to help out & didn't ask for any money down, gave me a reasonable quote & said they could start next day, they did a excellent job & hauled away asphalt they dug off, very pleased with the job & will be using this spring to sealcoat

I have been affiliated with the construction business for over 25 years. I took bids to seal cracks and to seal coat my driveway. I tried to find out the products they used and their process. I threw out the lowest bid because they were not going to seal the cracks with anything special. They claimed it would not stay and that the seal coat would take care of the problem. Two contractors never showed up to give me an estimate. Scratch those two. Although Vincent Davis's bid was the highest, I selected him because he was going to use what I felt was the best product out there, and he was going to seal all the cracks (which were numerous along the edges of the driveway). He explained that he was going to burn in the crack sealer which I liked. I felt comfortable that Vincent was not going to dilute his products which some businesses do. Remember the deal with Indiana going after contractors for using sub-standard asphalt on our roads? I also liked the fact that when I informed Vincent that he was the highest bid, he did not offer to cut his price to get the job. That convinced me to use him. Quality products and quality workmanship is what I wanted. Pay now, or pay later. An asphalt driveway is expensive to replace. Vincent also guaranteed his work for 4 years. I have used cheap contractors in the past and it always came back to haunt me. The condition of my driveway before Vincent sealed it was proof of that.

I was happy with the work performed, but the biggest issue was getting him out here to get the work done... a lot of changing schedules and late arrivals. He seems under staffed.
