"Mr. [Consumer name withheld at their request] called me in regard's to a leaky toilet, that I gave him a price on, sight unseen. We set up a time for the work to be performed. Upon arrival at his residence, I pulled up the toilet and someone had tightened the bolts too tight and broken the flange. The floor of the bathroom had carpet padding that was saturated with water. I pulled the toilet, padding, repaired the flange, and replaced the toilet. I had all the parts with me to perform the work. I advised the customer to pull the carpet padding and put fans on the floor or it would never dry. That concluded the work, but I noticed the tank to bowl bolts had a lot of rust. I informed Mr. [Consumer name withheld at their request] of this. Upon which time he wanted me to rebuild the entire toilet, new fill valve, fill tube, flapper, handle, and tank to bowl bolts. He also wanted me to change the drain assembly on one of his sinks in the bathroom. I informed him that I did not have the time to do this at the present as it was not discussed during the initial scheduling and I had made other commitments. I gave him a price and a date that I could come back and do the commode, tank, and drain assembly on one sink. Arrangements were made and a price was agreed upon. After going back and performing said work for said price, Mr. [Consumer name withheld at their request] called and said that another sink was stopped up and that we had discussed it, which actually, was not in the scope of work discussed. However, I agreed to go ahead and perform that work for no additional cost as a favor. After trying to get the trap apart that had been there for 15 years, the other drain assembly broke when trying to loosen it. That part was not on my truck, as only one sink had originally been discussed. I had to go to Lowe's to get another drain assembly. My cost was $40.00. I charged Mr. Randall an extra $60.00 on top of the "original" agreed upon price. There was a trash can with a liner in the bathroom that I placed all the broken parts in. After 2/3 days, Mr.[Consumer name withheld at their request]phoned back and told me that there was also a leak on the bathtub, which was never discussed. I did no work on the bathtub, nor was it mentioned during the other visits. He wanted me to come fix it for free. At which time he was told that I would be happy to come fix it, but there would be an additional charge as this was new work. I don't mind bad reviews, if I do bad work. However, [Consumer name withheld at their request]wanted additional work done for free and I can't stay in business doing free work. I'm sorry for your disappointment, Mr. Gary Davis"
