This is NOT a reliable handyman. I wanted three patio posts replaced with new ones. I also wanted the new ones primed and painted. Mr Davis' recommendation was to use a Sherwin Williams oil based exterior paint. I researched and read many reviews online to find that this oil based paint had terrible reviews. I also went and talked to two different people at the Sherwin Williams store (one of them being a painter) and they recommended a different paint and primer. So, Mr Davis was fine with using what the Sherwin Williams store had recommended. The columns were painted and installed on (May 12). He was going to put a final coat on, but it was going to rain. He said he would be back the following week to finish. He came out (May 16) and we noticed that the primer was not adhering to the trim portion of the post. We talked and he was willing to talk to the Sherwin Williams store about the issue. He went to the store and got a different primer to use. (May 29) he texts and tells me that he's hoping to get back to my house that week. That week goes by and I don't hear a word. (June 5) he texts and says that I'm still on his list and that he would "get the columns done this week". That week goes by and I don't hear a word. (June 13) I text him and he responds "been busy and its slipped my mind, I believe I can make a way to get those painted this week"......I don't hear a word. Around (June 22) he calls me and tells me he's forgotten about me yet again and that someone would be out....I don't hear a word (June 27) I text Mr Davis and now he has completely forgotten about me. He responds "who is this" so after my response he magically appears that evening. He primed the posts and got them ready for painting. He then left and said I should leave my ladder out and that someone would be back tomorrow to finish painting the posts. I don't hear a word. (June 29) I text him and he said he is hoping to send someone out today. Well today came around and nothing happened. I then texted him and told him I was through with him. You can't expect someone to wait around 1.5 months for someone to finish the job. Like I said before NOT RELIABLE. UPDATE: Based on Mr. Davis' response below its pretty obvious he never read my review. I clearly stated in my review what he recommended. I also clearly stated that I read numerous reviews about his recommendation. The reviews were terrible about what he recommended. I also talked with two different people at the Sherwin Williams store. Neither one of them recommended what Mr. Davis had said. He was perfectly fine with using what the Sherwin Williams paint store recommended. You know I do agree with one thing that Mr. Davis said. He states that you have a bad customer everywhere. I do agree with this, but you also have a bad handyman everywhere as well.
