Water Main Install, Replace or Repair
This company used to be really good. I had spent hundreds of dollars with them. Not sure what changed, but the increased number of low ratings is telling. Did not show up when their dispatcher said that they would. (What is the point of arriving early if I do not know, you do not tell me in time to get there, and you do not call when you arrive?) When I call to find the answer, I get attitude and threatened that you will charge an additional service charge? (Yes, when you say that you are sorry that you&*misjudged* Chris time of arrival but it is still my fault and threaten additional charges - yes, that is called attitude.) Maybe they have so much work that they do not need my business, but it seems a terrible way to treat a repeat customer. While I am sure they will have some shiny, blame-the-client denial in response (as they apparently often do look over recent reviews), you should save yourself some grief and time. Not going back. I recommend you call someone who will communicate as well as fix things.

"We scheduled an arrival window with this customer and were told the owner would be onsite to meet the plumber, as well we gave a 20-minute call-ahead to the owner of the property. When we arrived the plumber was unable to reach anyone and waited on site for over 30 minutes before being advised a tenant would meet him there. No one would come to the door when attempted, so after waiting for longer onsite, the plumber had to move on to the next appointment. About 30 minutes after the plumber's departure, we heard from the owner of the property that advised he had arrived to find no plumber and was immediately super angry the plumber had moved on. We explained the situation and he made threats to blast our name online if he did not return immediately. It is unfortunate this person has followed through to post negative reviews all over our online presence when not showing for an appointment."

My service provider (Mike Brapps) came and repaired an inside toilet and outside leaking faucet. Mike was extremely professional, courteous and provided explanations as to what services he preformed and provided great advise for winterization.

I hired Mike to replace 4 toilets at $1330. We talked twice so that there would not be any misunderstanding. He came to install the toilets and did not have them. Totally my fault. The contract did in fact state "customer supplied". What bothered me the most was Mike's attitude. He seemed incredulous that I would think he was going to supply the toilets and install them at that price. He practically laughed in my face. I simply asked him to leave. So, his plan was to install 4 toilets that I supplied and replace 3 lines at a cost of $330 per toilet. I hired the exact same job at $175 per toilet. My suggestion with him is to read the fine print and then hire someone else. And anything you read about his poor attitude toward the customer is most likely true.

"I regret that you were dissatisfied with our service. The plumber was very clear in explaining onsite, and with the estimate provided which detailed exactly as you stated "customer supplied toilet". As well, the office staff went over the estimate for labor only and customer to supply toilets. Then, the customer scheduled to have the work done and upon the plumber's arrival, there were no toilets onsite and the customer was outraged at the cost. This was a surprise, considering how many times we went over the estimate with you to clarify. I am not sure how we could have been anymore clear or helpful, after multiple explanations and questions asked at booking whether toilets had been purchased. We are sorry you were unhappy, but this is why we always provide a free onsite estimate to outline cost and process for repair/replacement, with no obligation to have work done. We hope your project turned out how you hoped and we wish you a lovely day."

Drain Clog or Blockage Clearing
I am honestly flabbergasted. TLDR: Incompetent or lazy plumber where almost everything he said was contradicted by a second was more professional plumber. Also was incredibly rude the second time he came out and actually said (Hell no) when we requested something (not exaggerating the ls.) - Mike came out to fix a toilet blockage from our master toilet. He said we had no clean-outs and needed to spend $5,000 to install two-way clean-outs in our flower bed, so he could run his camera down to find the root cause of the issue. He could not get his camera equipment through the toilet because there were too many twists and turns in our pipe. He cleared the blockage and said it was outside our house around 25 feet (ca. 8 m) away. - We got blocked up again 2 weeks later. We found out we already had a two-way city clean out, so we asked him if he could run his camera through that one and showed him a diagram from the city. He launched into a long explanation of how that was not going to work, and the city clean-out goes 6 feet (1.83 m) underground and twists and turns - no plumber would run a camera through that way. He would not even open the cover to look. Then lectured us for 30 minutes and told us 6 times that we need to get a two-way clean-out installled on our flower bed - not the city one. He even walked us over to the flower bed to show us where it should be. Said there was likely a broken pipe under our driveway / near the tree in our front lawn because the first time he cleared it, it was 25 feet (ca. 8 m) away. Told us to call another plumber to get a second opinion but that they would say the same thing. - Called another plumber. They found the two-way clean-out in our flower bed within 2 minutes of poking around with a stick. The same one that Mike told us 6 times we needed to spend $5,000 to install. They also ran the camera down the city two-way clean out and were able to see that there was no issue under our driveway or under the tree. Turns out the broken pipe was right under our house, about 10-15 feet (4.57 m) away from the toilet blockage. - Other plumber said he has no idea how Mike from DeWolfes plumbing could have possibly said the blockage was 25 feet (ca. 8 m) out. Also has no idea how he could not find the flower bed clean-outs because there were just some leaves covering it. Also has no idea why he would not run the camera down the city clean out. If he had, that would have clearly shown the broken pipe was NOT under the driveway or the tree - that it was 10 feet (ca. 3 m) from the toilet under our house. - We could not shower or use our only other full bathroom because of the blockage. We were almost desperate enough to just have DeWolfes clear it again, just, so we could use our other restroom. Because of how incredibly condescending he was, we decided against it. If we had asked him to clear it, we would have paid another $270 for a bandaid solution and still not have known we already have clean-outs to address the root cause of the issue. - I explained all this to Jennifer from the front desk, and she promised the owner would call me back today to discuss what happened. I just got a call back from her saying the owner is too busy and would not call me. There would also be no way of getting us any kind of discount or refund. Instead, they tried to tell us maybe the clean-out was too far buried, or we have two breaks. Other plumber confirmed this was not the case because he knew immediately from looking at our house we had a clean-out in our flower bed, and he ran the whole line from our house to the city sewer and only saw one break. He was also baffled.

"You were provided and paid for the service to unstop a clogged line from your toilet, the toilet was pulled prior to the plumbers arrival indicating your previous knowledge that a clean out in the flowerbed was not immediately accessible, you also confirmed to our office staff that our plumber showed you where a clean out should be and neither yourself or our plumber was able to view one. You indicated in a later conversation to our office staff that the clean out was in fact buried and not immediately accessible and were upset that our plumber did not perform the extra labor free of charge to locate that clean out. The plumber indicated his findings once the service of clearing the stoppage was performed to your satisfaction to which we have signature evidence, and offered an initial recommendation based on the limited labor he did perform while onsite but did not provide a dollar amount for that recommendation on his estimate. The plumbers recommendation to install a clean out where one was not visible to either yourself or our plumber was given only if the problem persisted. When you called our office for a return visit you were informed multiple times by our scheduler that there is no warranty on stoppages per company policy because we cannot guarantee what has been put down the line after completion of the service. You were informed of the plumbers recommendation and you opted to have a return visit performed agreeing over the phone that you would be required to pay a second fee to have the stoppage cleared again, the plumber only declined onsite to perform that service because you wanted him to do it for free. We feel it pertinent to mention your only desired resolution to this complaint is a refund for services that were actually performed to your satisfaction at the time and only arose when your issue recurred 3 weeks later which we unfortunately cannot warrant offering as the service was performed as originally agreed upon."
