We unfortunately got involved with Dear Services when our furnace went out last December just before the holiday. We usually do tons of research and get quotes, but went with them because they could get out that day. The nightmare started and went on for FIVE months. We finally have a functioning furnace and heat pump, but were charged WAY MORE than we should have. They even tried at the end to charge us another $21k to fix the problems they created! Since the furnace was installed improperly it did not pass inspection. We insisted they put in a NEW furnace and take out the one they ruined by installing wrong. So many problems, poor communication, over charging AND we would get calls constantly from their "friendly" A.I. bots asking how things went(!) Stay away from Dear Services

Dear Service came out for simple cleaning and told me that heat exchanger on my gas furnace were cracked and this was dangerous and could kill the family. So we replaced it. I kept the old furnace and had the heat exchangers tested and they were not cracked. What?s worse is they set my new furnace on the highest setting causing it to blow to hard and said I needed to replace my ducts with blgger ducts at a cost of $20k. I had another HVAC company come out and they changed a setting at a cost of $150. My furnace now delivers more even heat and I?m saving money on heating bill every month. My advice is run as fast as you can from Dear Services. If some one in the attorney general?s office reads this. You should investigate this company. Hey should be out of business.

This company is dishonest, engages deceptive, unfair, predatory, and outrageous billing practices. I am in the process of filing several consumer protection complaints. Their invoice does not lay out labor or parts costs. They charged $2,500.00 for 2 1/2 hours of work to replace a small section of the old pipe. (They decided to plumb the whole sink at the same time). I had opened the wall and located the problem drain pipe myself; everything was open and accessible. They did respond/show up on time and got the job done quickly.

Never sent a hard copy of the warranty like they said they would. Everything is on line but we dont have a computer so we are not able to get it. We need the warranty.

I bought my furnace through them about a year ago. I scheduled my one-year service and they were here the next day. Chase and Josh where my technicians. They were very professional, thorough considerate, and fun to work with. I hope to get them back when I have my hot water heater replaced.

Do nott hire this company. Wish I would have read the reviews first. Salesman was high pressure, actually said you are stupid if you do nott purchase the additional $1200 Total Care Plan - asked him if I could change my mind/cancel the next day (when they were going to install) and he said no problem. Told 4 other employees the next day, plus called the office, to make sure they did not charge me the extra $1200.....all of them said no problem (witnesses present)....shocker....they charged me and now 2 weeks later, 10 phone calls, complaint to BBB, there has been no refund and no response from any managers or the owner, David Hirst. By the way, they are supposed to get a permit before installation and then the city inspector comes out.....none of that has happened....and when I asked they could not give me a straight answer. Oh and after the installation the A/C did not even work so they had to come back out and fix a short in the wiring within the new thermostat....(Chris W. was actually pretty good)...But how are these guys still in business?
