Dee Ann was great. We had her come to our home to help us with a major decision. She was understanding, and truly gave thought to our needs. We were stuck between deciding to do a renovation to make an accessory apartment or possibly put our home up for sale. She explained (very gently) that she thought down sizing was right for us. First we went over all our ideas and she advised us on all. We look forward to working with her in the future. Lovely sweet woman. Gave us a few suggestions about staging when we are ready to sell and I know she is 100% on target. She will also tell you something is not in her expertise if she does not know as answer. Grateful - that we connected with her.

"Whoa! May 2012 was the last contact I had with this client. I began working with them on their home on LI, however, they had a vacation home in another state and spent a good deal of time there, so projects would be started, some were completed, and some were put on hold until they returned. The last correspondence we had was regarding a piece of furniture they were thinking of purchasing, we were discussing sizes and colors, and the last email I received signed off with "talk to you soon"- I assumed they were out of town (Memorial Day holiday) and I would hear from them when they returned, sadly, I heard nothing until this review was written"

Dee Ann was employed to serve as the Interior designer and Project manager to completely renovate and redesign the main floor of our home creating one �great room� out of the former kitchen, dining & living rooms. Throughout the renovation Dee Ann worked tirelessly, the result of which far exceeded our original concept. She is energetic, has an abundance of knowledge & experience, interacts consistently, and stays focused on moving the project forward. We, without hesitation, highly recommend her.

Dee Ann is warm and easy to work with. She is open minded and listens, but provides her opinion, suggestions, and expertise as well. She has great ideas, and knows how to blend our style and taste with her creativity and experience, so that we're happy and love our new home. She has been willing to work within our budget, and understand what we can and can't do without pushing us. after reading testimonies from other people who hired Dee ann, it help me decide to call her and have her help me with my concerns. My house is being built and she is there to help me in every aspect of my house from fixtures,wood stains and room color. She is really a big help to me/us,especially being just here in USA for just a couple of years. She is really good and reliable.My house is not done yet but i know, i'll still need her at my side. We hired Dee for our new home in the process of being built. We wanted our home to be a reflection of us so through our conversations, questions, and listening to what we had to say Dee honed in on what design would truly make our home what we love today. Our design expreience with Dee has been sheer pleasure!! Her experience in design is without flaw, she is always coming up with great ideas! She handled ALL situations in a timely mannor with professionalism, grace and integerity. She made it fun for the kids by involving them as well. Dee excudes a sense of ease even at the most stressfull times. She truly has a passion for what she does. Dee Ann Federico, the person behind Design Darling Interiors, has much talent and energy. I particularly liked her sense of color. She proved adaptable in dealing with my environment and needs. I was able to speak directly with the owner of the company and she was extremely knowledgeable and gave me lots of great advice and ideas right from the start. Dee Ann did an excellent job in helping us to pick out paint colors, floor color, tile, and wallpaper. Her consulting services were more expensive than originally quoted over the phone and Dee Ann was not initially forthcoming with requests for the names of the paint and paper that we had selected. She did, however, finally provide this information after several requests.

"This client was moving from another state, we met with them on Memorial Day, because they only had one day, we wanted to accomodate their needs and put together a presentation for an entire home in 5 hrs, and showed in a restaurant as they could not get into their new home. The client then expected to have a full report given to them the next day, which was not possible."

It started out as a very good experience and ended up to be a nightmare. I could never recommend to anyone, I would hate to see anyone go thru the tremendous expense and anguish that we did.

"This client received a piece of furniture that was too large for the room. We accepted responsibility for this error, and the piece was picked up and moved at our expense, and the client was issued a refund. We also offered to find a replacement for this piece with no charge for design time, and the entire trade discount would be given to this client, they declined."
