Concrete Foundation Repair
$6,300
This company was hired in December of 2019 by my grandmother for a leak in our basement. They quoted a repair for a French drain install and window well replacement without removing the drywall to see where the leak was coming from. My husband removed the drywall to find an 8 foot crack in the foundation. They came back out and quoted the same repairs but now would add epoxy to the crack. One year later the wall began to leak again during the winter. We originally thought the water had come through the window from the melting snow, so we took no action at that time. Then a pretty severe rainstorm happened about 6 months later and it began leaking from underneath the wall again. We reached out to the company to see if they could come out again to repair it. (We installed turf prior to the 2nd leak and cut the French drain back about 5 feet, but did not change its position) They stated â The modification of the French Drain caused the pipe to get clogged with soil and did not drain, causing a backup and water intrusion the the basement area.â Meanwhile, the quote states â French drains are designed to slowly dry out chronically wet areas, they are not designed to move storm water without surface inlets.â We have only had this issue during rainy weather, so the modification of the French drain should have no effect on storm water, per their quote. They stated we can pay to install a pop up emitter on the French drain, but refuse to address the issue with the wall still having a way for water to get through. Highly do not recommend them. They do not address the actual issues and rather charge for unnecessary work.

"At original evaluation, DFS can only inspect accessible areas. There was drywall covering the wall in the basement, therefore the crack in the wall was unknown. The exterior grade warranted an exterior French drain which we installed 12/19/19. The French drain was operating as intended until the customer removed the last 6 feet of French drain and the pop up termination point to install artificial turf in the area approximately 6/20/20 per the customer. The French drain continued to operate until we received a call 8/3/21 that water intrusion started again in the basement. A site visit was performed 8/4/21 to verify the French drain DFS installed was partially removed. The point where the customer had cut and removed the French Drain eventually became obstructed with soil, not allowing the captured water to terminate, causing the water intrusion to begin again. DFS values our customers and offered to repair the French drain, removed by the customer, to it's original installation at a $223 charge to the customer, which is material and labor only. Surface inlets are utilized for a high volume of water, and not recommended for this situation. Whether surface inlets were installed or not, removing the discharge point of the French Drain would have resulted in the same situation, which is a backup of water in the system, causing the water intrusion. DFS warranty, as stated in the contract does not cover removal or modification of the system installed. In short, it worked until the customer removed it."

This company came recommended by my coworker and they got me set up with an appointment right away, and Dustin showed up on time. He was pleasant and helpful, very professional. He spent over 30 minutes here looking at reasons why there was water coming up through our floor and was able to identify it as an air conditioning issue. This is not something that makes him or the company any money, but he was completely honest and did not try to play me or upsell. Dustin and Denver Foundation Solutions saved me a lot of money and headaches. They were amazing. Highly recommend!

Foundation Drainage Installation and Replacement
Tony is a joke. No professionalism and no communication skills. He will tell you what you want to hear to your face, and promise to fix all the problems and jobs that were not done correctly the first time. This company will use your money and send addicts to your house to leave their mess and throw their cigarettes everywhere. We paid this company 20K, and they were such a joke. Having to retain a lawyer. Do not use this company. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! RUN!!

"This review is blatantly false and libelous. Our Attorney is reviewing the matter. Our contract regarding this property was with the previous homeowner August of 2017. Work ordered and contracted by the seller of this property was inspected, passed and the Real Estate transaction closed. This person surfaced December 2019 with a voice mail left at the office stating his daughter fell, received stitches in her head and he was suing us. A site visit was performed at the property the same week and discovered that the area his daughter fell was in no way near an area we worked. This person was pleasant at that time. There was one item on the original bid not completed due to an existing deck was structurally deficient. DFS did not want liability for the entire deck. It was suggested by the home inspector at time of sale, to remove the deck. That option was priced, but not chosen. That one item was exchanged for extra top soil and gravel, which actually benefitted our customer approx $800. It appears the person leaving this review is attempting to profit from us, to help defer costs regarding a separate neighbor dispute regarding their fence. A site visit was performed, by Tony, phone calls and emails, to determine DFS was not at fault. Our employees are not drug addicts. We have families and work very hard to provide for them. The project manager for this project (David) was actually a former Police officer. We have hundreds of satisfied customers in Denver and remain proud of our quality of work, quality of staff and value we provide for our customers."

Do you want to work with a company that does not call you back? Do you want to work with a company that their employees pee on your property? How about if they pee on your possessions? Do you want to work for a company that breaks your gate? Do you want to work with a company that does not clean up after the projects completed? How about an owner of a company that refuses to speak to you directly to resolve this conflict? I am so deeply frustrated and disappointed with the owner of this company and his lack of professionalism. All of the above things happened to us during our project. We are just trying to resolve a fair final price and the owner refuses to do so. Customer service is just as important as a job being done correctly.

"This response is for this review as well as by Jace S. They are husband and wife and is for the same project. Two reviews for the same project is an attempt to provide more damage to our reputation. I spoke with this person personally. There were multiple phone calls from 2 other of my staff members regarding this issue. I spoke with Jace at least twice, within the same week. We installed Structural piers in their crawl space. This project was bid, accepted, Engineered, permitted and Conformed by the Engineer. The quality of work is as always from DFS. We had an employee that was seen going behind a detached garage at the end of the property on a camera. It was assumed by the customer that urination had taken place. When confronting the employee, he stated he went back there to make a private phone call. We asked the customer to allow us to review the camera footage, so as to take appropriate action. We were not granted that opportunity. Taking the customer's word, we terminated the employee, without proof, 2 days before Christmas. When informing the customer of this action, at one of the multiple phone conversations, Sarah's response was "good". In addition, the day after this customer claim, a staff member went to the property and sprayed a disinfectant throughout the area outside, in the event the urination did take place. The customer then wanted $1000 discounted off of the job. Without camera footage, and a termination of an employee without this proof, we offered $200. This was not acceptable to the customer, so we made the offer $300. A couple weeks later, the customer paid their bill, with the $300 discount applied. Two months later we get the negative review. I learned the price of a negative review is $700. We here at DFS pride ourselves with our reputation and quality of work. Our project are very important to the longevity of our customers homes and we take that seriously, from Evaluation to Project installation, to service after the project. We take action when needed to provide top quality staff. We apologize for the inconvenience to our customer."

We have used this company before and decided to use them again for the second project on our foundation. That was our first mistake. This company has zero communication skills and professionalism. My husband had to contact them numerous times to check on appointments and follow through because they would not confirm with us a scheduled appointment. Once we finally got the project going, the disastrous our property and not just pee on the grass but pee on my tenant personal property. We experience really started. Their employee decided it was a good idea to pee we have this on Camera because our tenant called us furious about the incident. The next day, an employee broke our back gate and did not think to call us to apologize and correct this immediately. Our tenant called us to tell us that the employee broke our gate. Lastly, an employee Left cement and debris and dirt after doing the job. They did not have the integrity to clean up after the job is finished. The real icing on the cake is my husband has tried to talk to the owner to talk about a fair compromise on price after our horrible experience and the owner does not have the decency to talk to my husband. He flat out refused to talk to my husband about our experience and about a possible discount. I cannot believe an owner of a small business would act like such a coward. Tony lacks professionalism and integrity as a business owner. I would never work with him again.

These guys are awesome. Our job turned out to be more involved than predicted but they worked with us on finding the right solution to meet our budget. Every single contact was pleasant. They got us on the schedule quickly to accommodate our tight schedule and met every commitment and more. I have other properties and would only call DFS if I had this need again. This company was a model of great customer service.

Tony and his team were great. I had a sump pump and interior trench drain installed in my basement. Their price was very reasonable and Tony took plenty of time to assess the problem and provide multiple options. The only issue we had was the sump pump PVC pipe had a leak, which they came out and fixed a few weeks later. My only other issue is that I was told it came with a 10 year warranty, but never received any warranty paperwork or receipt for it.

The good: This company provided multiple svcs, one stop shop. My basement foundation had cracks, driveway was chipped, constantly breaking away, garage also had some damage. Reasonalble cost for all work performed. Love the texture work on the basement wall. All issues were worked in one week. Tony is easy to work with, totally satisfied with his customer svc. Recommended improvements: Clean-up, not all areas were cleared of matter, cleaned.
