"At original evaluation, DFS can only inspect accessible areas. There was drywall covering the wall in the basement, therefore the crack in the wall was unknown. The exterior grade warranted an exterior French drain which we installed 12/19/19. The French drain was operating as intended until the customer removed the last 6 feet of French drain and the pop up termination point to install artificial turf in the area approximately 6/20/20 per the customer. The French drain continued to operate until we received a call 8/3/21 that water intrusion started again in the basement. A site visit was performed 8/4/21 to verify the French drain DFS installed was partially removed. The point where the customer had cut and removed the French Drain eventually became obstructed with soil, not allowing the captured water to terminate, causing the water intrusion to begin again. DFS values our customers and offered to repair the French drain, removed by the customer, to it's original installation at a $223 charge to the customer, which is material and labor only. Surface inlets are utilized for a high volume of water, and not recommended for this situation. Whether surface inlets were installed or not, removing the discharge point of the French Drain would have resulted in the same situation, which is a backup of water in the system, causing the water intrusion. DFS warranty, as stated in the contract does not cover removal or modification of the system installed. In short, it worked until the customer removed it."

"This review is blatantly false and libelous. Our Attorney is reviewing the matter. Our contract regarding this property was with the previous homeowner August of 2017. Work ordered and contracted by the seller of this property was inspected, passed and the Real Estate transaction closed. This person surfaced December 2019 with a voice mail left at the office stating his daughter fell, received stitches in her head and he was suing us. A site visit was performed at the property the same week and discovered that the area his daughter fell was in no way near an area we worked. This person was pleasant at that time. There was one item on the original bid not completed due to an existing deck was structurally deficient. DFS did not want liability for the entire deck. It was suggested by the home inspector at time of sale, to remove the deck. That option was priced, but not chosen. That one item was exchanged for extra top soil and gravel, which actually benefitted our customer approx $800. It appears the person leaving this review is attempting to profit from us, to help defer costs regarding a separate neighbor dispute regarding their fence. A site visit was performed, by Tony, phone calls and emails, to determine DFS was not at fault. Our employees are not drug addicts. We have families and work very hard to provide for them. The project manager for this project (David) was actually a former Police officer. We have hundreds of satisfied customers in Denver and remain proud of our quality of work, quality of staff and value we provide for our customers."
"This response is for this review as well as by Jace S. They are husband and wife and is for the same project. Two reviews for the same project is an attempt to provide more damage to our reputation. I spoke with this person personally. There were multiple phone calls from 2 other of my staff members regarding this issue. I spoke with Jace at least twice, within the same week. We installed Structural piers in their crawl space. This project was bid, accepted, Engineered, permitted and Conformed by the Engineer. The quality of work is as always from DFS. We had an employee that was seen going behind a detached garage at the end of the property on a camera. It was assumed by the customer that urination had taken place. When confronting the employee, he stated he went back there to make a private phone call. We asked the customer to allow us to review the camera footage, so as to take appropriate action. We were not granted that opportunity. Taking the customer's word, we terminated the employee, without proof, 2 days before Christmas. When informing the customer of this action, at one of the multiple phone conversations, Sarah's response was "good". In addition, the day after this customer claim, a staff member went to the property and sprayed a disinfectant throughout the area outside, in the event the urination did take place. The customer then wanted $1000 discounted off of the job. Without camera footage, and a termination of an employee without this proof, we offered $200. This was not acceptable to the customer, so we made the offer $300. A couple weeks later, the customer paid their bill, with the $300 discount applied. Two months later we get the negative review. I learned the price of a negative review is $700. We here at DFS pride ourselves with our reputation and quality of work. Our project are very important to the longevity of our customers homes and we take that seriously, from Evaluation to Project installation, to service after the project. We take action when needed to provide top quality staff. We apologize for the inconvenience to our customer."
