First subcontractor was great their workmanship on my landscape wall, raised planters, and new irrigation system for my back yard was great. DPM themselves not so great - top soil hauled in and placed on a portion of my yard was full of weed seeds. I spent the last 30 years irradicating weeds in my back yard. Now I have weeds i have not seen in about 20 years growing in my back yard. The sub told me the owner of DPM wanted to cheat me out of a level of blocks on my wall but thankfully the sub said no and my wall was constructed to the expected height. the river rock placed immediately showed the below weed barrier, i.e. only one layer of rock was placed, assume this was at the direction of the owner. Also there was a whole section of existing rock that was to be removed and replaced with river rock that was not completed. i.e. they could not find my drawing that the original quote/estimate was based on so denied the rock was to be replaced. And last but not least the owner tried to collect the last payment a second time saying it was for extra work.

Jeanne, You posted a Google review 9 mos ago so we will repost our response to that. READERS SHOULD SEARCH FOR THE GOOGLE REVIEW AND READ THAT. The story has strangely changed here, but her Google review had much more detail. I'm glad you mentioned that we immediately contacted you to figure out what we needed to do to make you happy! We hate to get this kind of review even if we did something to deserve it but it ESPECIALLY stings when we tried our best to fix any issues you perceived to exist but you weren't interested in returning any of our communication to allow that to happen. No response to calls/texts. Since you were unable to get back to us to explain these concerns, I'll take this opportunity to address them here. With regard to closing out your project and your implication that it was in any way rushed. We finished work on your yard on April 12th. In your case, you had a month to decide if the work was complete per your detailed contract (which listed all work to be performed) because you were unavailable or sick the several times we tried to arrange the final walk-through. You and I met on May 13th and walked the yard making sure everything was as intended. We then sat in your kitchen chatting for a bit and you signed a completion certificate that lists "No services owed customer" clearly indicating that ALL work had been completed to your satisfaction. With regard to your assertion that the topsoil we used came from a disreputable supplier, our landscape materials come from Pioneer or Ewing, which are the two absolute most reputable landscape material suppliers in town. I think the confusion here is that the upper area (the only area where we installed topsoil) was the area YOU chose to have us seed with native Colorado wild grass and wildflower mix. Our seed mixes come from BBB Seed in Boulder and there is no better or more pure seed mix available on the market. That having been said, native wild grasses can indeed spread if you don't take care to properly manage them. Unfortunately, we aren't the ones that maintain your lawn so we aren't in control of that. With regard to the decorative river rock installed, for each project, we purchase a quantity that allows for all decorative rock work to be installed 2"-4" deep (depending on the size of rock being installed) which is exactly what we did at your house. That having been said, it can happen that rock shifts or settles with heavy rain (which we've had a lot of) or foot traffic (which you likely had from at least one other contractor building your fence) Likely that's what you've experienced. That can easily be addressed by simply raking rock from adjacent areas to cover any settled spots. Regarding "fill behind walls". We only built one wall on your property, a retaining wall. Clearly we filled behind it since your first complaint references what you believed to be poor quality top soil used for exactly that purpose. The remainder of the wall was filled and then covered with weed mat and mulch. It's also evident in the photos that the entire wall was filled in behind. I'm not sure what this other "wall" is that was supposed to be filled behind but we only built the retaining wall. You might be confusing us with another company or something since we know you were having other work performed at your house. I hope this clears up some of the confusion for you. We would have loved to have this conversation with you previously when we immediately responded to your initial message about having some questions. No one I know in this industry is perfect but there are not many times our team deserves anything less than 4.5 - 5 stars because, quite honestly, we are willing to do whatever it takes to earn them! My Patio isn't even a year old and it's deteriorating already. Patio Masters has been treating me like I am a nuisance because I need my Patio redone. Tara has been wonderful although. She is trying to get this resolved for me. I have been waiting for months for someone to get back to me to be put on the schedule for repairs but that hasn't happened as of yet 7 months later.

We did a massive complete front yard/back yard tear out and completely regraded the lot before a total remake of the property. This was not a simple project. However, DPM was up to the task of completing every aspect of the project. Their crews removed deeply rooted 50yr+ trees and evergreen shrubs, jackhammered out a failing concrete patio, replaced all walkways and the driveway, converted all home downspouts to french drains, regraded the entire lot, built retaining walls, replaced fences, created a spectacular aspen berm and created three concrete deck pads with stamped and colored textures. Pay attention to how other companies do their concrete work. DMP sets everything on caissons (standard) so the pads are less likely to sink or crack over time. They poured 6â thick, not 4â like many companies. They CUT the control joints for me instead of the lazy trowel method. They mixed the concrete color into the cement before the pour, so any chipping that may occur will maintain the same color. And they warranty the concrete work longer than any other company I spoke with. On top of all that, they erected a pergola kit I provided them. Whenever issues arose or changes were requested, they were quick to accommodate and work with us to be satisfied. Holy (bleep) are we satisfied! It came out like a show home! They are nowhere near the top end of pricing, in fact, they were in the bottom quartile of all of my estimates; I thought quite affordable considering the extra value they bring. I even tried to get estimates for me to be my own contractor and sub out the various categories of the job but in the end, DPM provided us with a global (and transferable) warranty on the concrete, fence, retaining walls, plants, etc. My neighbor was doing work at the same time and he attempted to parce out the work to a miriad vendors. His jobs were noticeably of lesser quality and toward the end, even he hired DPM to do the more complex work like retaining walls and fencing. Ask for Andrew. He is honest and on top of every detail from beginning to end. Even the owner, Marty, showed up on site a number of times and contributed to ensuring the quality was what he wanted to represent his business. That was a very impressive action. The project was over $135k in work. At that price point, I demand quality work and a great warranty. DPM has been doing this for decades and it shows why they are the premier Denver Metro company for all landscape, fencing and concrete jobs. I have passed out a whole stack of Andrews cards and talk up DPM to anyone who will listen. They are just that good.

We moved into our house in July and were very disappointed with the state of the backyard. My husband found Denver Patio Masters online. Our initial contact through the company was with Andrew. Andrew was charismatic, knowledgeable and very professional. I was a little hesitant at first due to the price ( not horrible just a little on the higher end). You certainly get what you pay for. The company has been in business for around 27 years. This speaks volume about the service they perform and accountability. Jose, which was the lead guy of the crew, that did the manual labor, was fantastic. He did a wonderful job guiding the workers and ensuring the job was complete. Andrew oversaw all of this as well and was a great communicator and responsive to any questions along the way. I canâ t tell you how happy I am with the yard, however I will say Iâ ve sat on my patio multiple times in just two days . I definitely recommend!! You wonâ t be disappointed.

A bit costly but complete satisfaction & quality obtained. Helps to speak Spanish as workers are not English speaking. All concerns during our project were immediately addressed, including re-doing retaining walls to our satisfaction. Company rep. easy to work with and very responsive to adjustments made during work in progress. Again, costly but quality is definitely there
