Derrick the Handyman

Derrick first came to install a curtain rod and on that - 5 stars. I asked if he did other jobs and he said he does basically any project that's not structural. He said he'd redo my son's tub surround and when I asked if he could convert the tub to a shower with a glass door, he said he could. Long story short, if you don't waterproof the seams and screw holes in a shower, the shower isn't waterproof. I watched him apply tile to cement board that didn't have the seams and screw holes waterproofed. I ended up having someone else finish the project, which included paying them to remove and correct what he had done. Despite this, he was unwilling to compromise on the price though I had to pay someone else to redo his work and argued that he waterproofed the shower though I saw that he didn't with my own eyes!

Beware, claims to have plumping experience yet cost me additional $800 to fix his mistake, No insurance, no accountability, no return phone call. Pass this one by or you might be paying a lot extra !!

Timely contact, fair estimate, quality work.

I was very pleased with Derrickâ s work and I would refer him to my friends.

Any home owner considering having work done should know exactly what they want before speaking with a repairman and convey all the details to that person. Don't assume anything. This way there will be no "surprises".
