They were great.

3 weeks after the final repair (which took 3 times longer than he estimated because he never showed up when scheduled) and after I paid for the work, the gate fell down and cracked. It has yet to be completely repaired. His friend's company at least put the gate back up but never fixed the cracked decorative piece. If I could give 0 stars I would, but I want someone to know that I didn't forget to rate him. Terrible service, terrible work. I would not suggest hiring Desert Custom Fabrication if you want the job actually finished.

Mr. Chapman was great to work with until we signed a contract and he collected one half of the project cost as a deposit. He became harder to get a schedule commitment from. When he did show up and start the installation the materials appeared to be less than the height agreed on, as work progressed the workmanship was poor and sloopy. Mr Chapman agreed, gave me a letter stating that he would replace it at no additional cost to me but would not give me a schedule date. I have filed a compliant with the ROC and the BBB which he has not responded to. An inspector from the ROC has inspected the project, a repair order was issued. DO NOT USE.

Mike Chapman was very patient and professional and answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns. Several other companies would not even quote me because my project was less than 100' linear feet of block wall. His concern for my family's safety was above and beyond his contractor obligation and he expedited the job and got me scheduled a week earlier than originally planned. He ran into several challenging obstacles (which would have been costly with any other contractor) but honored the contracted price and still finished the same day. He takes pride in his work and it shows. Thanks again, Mike!
