DISAPPOINTED Customer of Sun West Pools DBA Desert Services (Owner Hector Ramirez) who built a pool for us in Trilogy La Quinta that was completed end of December 2018. The owner does not employ a full team and uses subcontractors who actually turned out to be very good. The end results seem to be a well-constructed and finished pool. The bad part is we ignored reviews regarding the owner. Had some permit issues understanding some initial specifications which delayed the project. Halfway through Hector needed payments not due per the agreement. We also had one communication issue where he coped an attitude and threatened to walk off the job. We did work through the issue and believed all was well but from that point forward it was apparent we were not. The last day of work everything was functioning perfectly but mysteriously the pool lights and landscape lighting stopped working, coincidence I think not. Took a week to resolve. The job was completed, paid in full, and he shut down all communications. We paid for a complete set of new equipment but Hector used our original 15-year-old controller and?? year old salt cell, our first months pool service was not done regularly so we put our own pool company on earlier. We cannot get warranty paperwork or any signed off drawings and inspections. No responses to numerous texts, emails, and calls. So if we have an issue we are on our own. Recommend you select a different contractor.

Hector Ramirez doesn't follow any instructions. The pool looks like Spiderman web. He signed an agreement that he has to degrease the pool with TSP before acid etching the plaster. He skipped that part. Pored acid all over yard, my yard looks black. Also doing business as Sunwest Pool, Spa & Landscaping. BEWARE OF THIS CONTRACTOR!

Great customer service. Hector was responsive, helpful and knowledgeable. The workers on his crew were proficient, did quality work and cleaned up after themselves. The newly resurfaced pool and spa look great and we could not be happier. I would recommend this company and will be hiring them again in the fall for pool equipment upgrade.
