Communication is big with me, and this company is very professional.

The installers were great and the floor looks beautiful. Unfortunately, I felt nickle and dime'd. One of the reasons that I made an appointment to go to the to the show room was, according to their website, they accepted credit cards. It was only after we were ready to set up the deposit and an install date was I told that there is a 2% surcharge for using a credit card. In my experience with professional businesses, credit card fees are the cost of doing business for the business, not the customer. I was was quoted for product and installation in the show room, but without the sales person asking about the full scope of the project, I.E. does the old flooring need to come out? Do you need quarter round installed? Do you need transition pieces? Do you know there could be a possibility that you will need a moisture barrier glue? So the original $6.99 per sf quote went up to over $8.25 per sf and finally ended at $9.63 per sf, the last jump in the price being the moisture barrier which was discovered when the installer was already there. I didn't think the overall price was outrageous when all was said and done, but I don't think it was the bargain that it was portrayed to be during the initial quote in the showroom.

slow but excellant workmanship!

I shopped around for our flooring project and have to say that Design Floor & Home came up top in all areas. They weren't the cheapest out there, but their responsiveness and customer service was outstanding. Their knowledge about the different products and guidance (without being overbearing) was impressive. The workmanship with the actual install was amazing - we even had other workmen who were doing different work at the house comment on the quality installation. Plus they did a really good job of clearing up ALL the mess once they were done.

The staff throughout the process were knowledgeable and helpful. The showroom sales representative took time on numerous occasions to explain all the hardwood flooring options and answer questions. He went out of his way to provide samples of product for us to review at home. We had not originally planned to have Design Floor install the flooring but we were impressed by their level of service during the sales process and their competitive bid. The installation process was not straight-forward due to unevenness in our sub-flooring. The installation crew explained the issue and provided an appropriate fix with minimal time lost in the installation process. We are very happy with our hardwood floors and plan to use Design Floor again soon for a bathroom project.

Large selection of flooring. We picked a high end laminate and love it. Looks exactly like wood. Best installer in the business!! Couldn't be happier.

All of the people we dealt with were courteous and accomadating, the workmen were excellent, clean and quick. They were here on time and cleaned up after they finished.
