Was originally impressed by Don - timely, reasonable quote, seemed to be thorough, quick, and all fixtures worked as expected. However, since he was here we have discovered a number of reasons why he is so quick - he cut corners. No junction boxes at splices. No junction boxes behind fixtures, hidden junction boxes, no grounding in certain fixtures. Just very shoddy work that most folks probably will not notice. When we called him about it, they reluctantly came back out and rather than make it right, wanted to debate what the code allowed. Lots of excuses, but the bottom line is his work did not pass inspection and now we are stuck re-doing his work. Buyer beware.

We were really disappointed that the repairman didn't clean up after himself. Not only did he leave the old fixtures right there, but also an assortment of nuts, screws and electrical parts that our vacuum cleaner found later. I though that he could have at least offered to carry them outside to our garbage if not take them back to his own shop.

Bath Exhaust Fan Installation
Don told us that he cracked the ceiling because it was old. I have pictures, before he fixed it, that show it was not a break but a cut. I also went over how he was to use the soffit for the air to be released. He vented it directly into the insulation which would have definitely caused mold issues. When I confronted him, he told me it did not need to be vented out side of the attic. I told him I would get a lawyer if he would not address it and he said, "Fxxx Yxx". I gave him one more chance to address it and he hung up on me. I opened a complaint with Home Advisor on 7/24/18. This guy is not registered with the BBB and he does not have licensing to do work in Johnson County. Buyer Beware.

"Well when we completed the job they were extremely happy with the work and signed the invoice stating so. Later there check can back marked insufficient funds and we had to turn it into collections. That's when we became the bad guys and everything we did was wrong. We tried to reach out to them but they won't take are call's. I have carried a Master Electrical Licence and liability insurance since 1992."

He over charged us for 1 hours work, $217.70; I do not trust the company. It is not the quality of work it is the fact he takes advantage of customers after the work is completed. He was 20 minutes late, walks in and tells us it was Home Advisor's fault.

He called me and said he could come in two days. Did not state there would be a minimum charge. Called me at work the day of the repair and said he was done. Two wires were hocked up wrong. He had told me he would give me an estimate before any repair. Instead he went ahead and fixed it and charged us over $135 for less then 15 min. of work. Then told my wife I had approved the repair and demanded payment with out my approval. Do not hire this guy!

"A service call is $125 it doesn't matter if we are there 15 min or two hours. That's what he was quoted for is one service call. We can give an estimate once we find the problem but there was no additional charges needed. So we did the repairs and charged them for one service call. I don't know why they are so upset. They stopped payment on the check and we just dropped it. So they managed to get the work done for free."
