"Always professional. I wouldn't go anywhere else. VERY helpful, friendly office staff and field technicians." I never imagined I would be updating this review. For years, I genuinely believed every word of my original five-star review. I trusted Diamond completely, had them install HVAC systems at my properties, including a dual Samsung mini-split system in October 2021, and recommended them to friends without hesitation. Unfortunately, this experience changed my opinion. When the dual mini-split system stopped cooling properly, Diamond diagnosed low refrigerant, suggested the Samsung system itself—not the installation—was the problem, and sold me a dye study and additional diagnostic work. The underlying installation problem was never identified. Concerned that something still wasn't right, I hired Snowflake Heating & Cooling for a second opinion. The owner of Snowflake inspected the original installation and concluded that the flare connections had not been tightened to Samsung's specified torque requirements during the original installation. He corrected the installation issue, and the system has worked perfectly ever since. Acting in good faith, I made every effort to resolve this matter privately before writing this review. I asked Diamond to reimburse the unnecessary diagnostic charges I paid to them, along with the $800 I paid Snowflake to identify and correct the installation-related issue that Diamond's service visits did not identify. Unfortunately, Diamond denied my request, concluding that because the labor warranty had expired, they bore no responsibility for the installation-related problem identified by the second contractor. I understand that the labor warranty had expired. My concern is different. If the original installation was not performed to the manufacturer's specifications, I don't believe an expired labor warranty excuses the workmanship. What remains difficult for me to understand is that Snowflake began by evaluating the original installation, identified an installation-related issue, corrected it, and the system has worked properly ever since. Diamond's service visits did not identify that issue. What makes this especially disappointing is that I genuinely wanted to remain a Diamond customer. I've always had excellent experiences with their sales staff. It's very difficult to continue investing in a company when you no longer have confidence that it will stand behind its workmanship when a problem comes to light. I never expected perfection. I did expect accountability. It's difficult to say goodbye to a company you once admired and confidently recommended to others. That's what makes this experience so genuinely disappointing.

Caden was the third person from Diamond HVAC with whom I have had the pleasure of interacting since I finally decided on Diamond as THE firm to handle the TOTAL rebuild of my HVAC system (all new furnace, condenser and reinstallation of all new ducting PLUS a new water heater). As with the other Team members, he was bright, personable, thoughtful and so eager to make sure that he delivered 110% effort in addressing my needs. As with Sky and Anthony, Caden is a real credit to Diamond Heating and Cooling, which has earned the great respect of some of my neighbors who've been well pleased with all of their work, and THE reason that I came to them. What an exceptionally well-trained and bright Team that the company founders, Rick and Sue Ellen, have assembled over the years and all of these individuals are just the kind of service professional service persons for which we all look and we so seldom ever find!!
