We hired Diamond Pools to build and install our small pool which started construction in January of 2024. The shell was delivered and carried via lull during 60mph winds and hit our house during a gust denting our siding. They also broke a post of our PVC privacy fence. They not only destroyed our front yard, but also our neighbor's front yard and sidewalk. They did so much damage to our irrigation system that we had to have each zone completely redone at a cost of over $4000. We paid for extra concrete decking and they poured our 60 sq ft of concrete. We then discovered that the pool was out of level by over 3 inches. This would cause the shell to crack eventually, due to the weight of the water on one side versus the other. After 3 weeks of waiting for Diamond to resolve the issue, the owner came out and offered us two options - dig up the entire concrete deck to re-level or dig up a perimeter of 1' of the concrete deck around the shell, re-level, and fill the gap with pavers. Due to the potential mess, more damage to our yard and fence, and continued delays, we agreed to the 1' perimeter replaced with pavers. The owner, Dan, then stated that he would also install the same pavers around the outside of the decking to tie it all in together. Several weeks later, they came and dug up the concrete (huge mess), supposedly leveled the pool, and installed the pavers. When I asked when the other pavers would be installed, Dan informed us that he would not be doing those pavers after all, going back on his promise to us. Our fault for not getting it in writing! During the next heavy rain in July, we noticed that the pool was STILL 2" out of level!! I emailed Diamond immediately with photos and a video of the pool out of level and have not received a response. I'll add that the pool failed final inspection 3 different times. Our small 2100 gallon "spool" took 7 months to complete, cost us over $35,000 and still isn't level. Which also means that the warranty through San Juan is void since they don't cover cracks due to improper installation. I do want to add that our salesman, Dolph Sewell, was wonderful and attempted to intervene on our behalf. But we will never recommend Diamond Pools to anyone and will make sure that we share our horrible experience. The owner, Dan Anderson, does not care about his customers satisfaction nor does he stand behind his work. We will have to hire another company to fix the mess that Diamond Pools has caused, and we will be filing a small claims suit.
