Dave was awesome, explained everything and the many options we could consider in the future for our home. His company was perfect from initial contact, to consult, to install. The installation was professional and looked great. definitely hiring digital living for some remaining work we have in our home.

I bought a new Denon receiver to replace one that went bad. I asked Digital Living, through HomeAdvisor., to hook up the new one. The tech set it up and left, but when I tried to use it as I had the old one, some functions were set up differently... I couldn't listen to both the speakers through the receiver and the TV speakers at the same time. When I tried, the TV shut off temporarily, then merely switched from one to the other before coming back on again. I emailed the owner, Dave, told him the problem, and was told that the tech said I was happy with the job, that he sells the same Denon and I should have bought it from him in the first place, and if I wanted anything else done, he would charge another service call. Because of that attitude, I told him if I had to pay again, I would get someone else to fix it, and that HomeAdvisor had been asking for a review, so I would handle the repair and my complaint that way. Immediately got an email asking me to please not give him a bad review, that the tech would be back in the morning and do whatever it took to make me happy. I told him not to send the tech. Another email asking when would be a good day to send him, which I haven't answered. I have saved these email exchanges. Seems as if Dave was more concerned with a review than he was in setting up my equipment properly. Not very good Customer Service priorities.
Response by Digital Living: Hi Curt, Thank you for the review. Normally I don't respond to these but I feel the facts of this job need clarification. As a practice we never leave a job until the system is fully functioning and free of any defects and then we make sure the customer understands how to operate the system and is satisfied with the service. . On your particular installation once John our technician was finished and the system was working properly and sounding great, he then sat down with you and went line by line through the instructions on how to operate your new Denon. He helped you take meticulous notes on paper and you we're so happy with our service and the end result that you "tipped" John the technician, "Thank you for that by the way". As an industry practice once surround sound speakers are added to a system with an amp we turn off the TV speakers and the sound then comes from the surround sound speakers only. You we're shown this new feature and you acknowledged it. To send a technician back to a job after the customer has acknowledged and is educated on operation and the technician was tipped by you it's a tough call and costs our little company money to come out again., It's a practice to charge once again for a new service call to fix an issue we did not have when we did the original install and you signed off and we're satisfied. I understood that you wanted us back immediately and I agreed to wave the fee and get someone there right away and asked for a good date and time that would work with your schedule FREE OF CHARGE. You never responded. When we supply the hardware and their is a malfunction we are responsible and we will back it up always free of charge until everything works properly. We did not supply the hardware for your system and we are never sure in these situations where the units come from, many are refurbished, your's probably wasn't but we never know when we don't supply the unit. We are still always willing to come out for free still to this day and help you anytime with any of your AV needs. Customer satisfaction is our absolute highest priority and that is why we have won the Home Advisor award so many years in a row. We appreciate your business and will remain available to you should you decide to take us up on that free service call. Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Needed help with my universal remote and setting up components. Dave sent someone right away who was very knowledgeable and spent time teaching us how to use the remote. I would recommend Digital Living.

What is the screening process that Service Professionals go through in order to become members of the HomeAdvisor network?

    We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
