"I had my technicians go out there twice and repair the roof and we've done all type of repairs and maintenance work on that roof and I gave you a great deal on doing a full roof maintenance and repair job on entire roof and some of the vents and square vents and they need to be updated to prevent water from getting through the screens on inside vents and as you can see in my reviews I do go out to customers and provide repairs free of charge under warranty and sometimes a customer gets confused and has different issues with the roof I've done a lot of repairs on the roof for you"

I regret using Home Advisor to find this company. I was charged $1450 for a roof maintenance which was due to leaks on a trailer home. I provided the shingles which he never used but grabbed a few and took them home with him. Then after he started work, he wanted additional money to stop leaks on the porch that we already agreed was included in the $1450 roof maintenance. The next day it rained, all the leaks still exist. He still asking for more money to stop leaks on my porches as I showed the leaks the next day while it rain. He also changed his words around the next day on what he was going to included in the additional money he wanted to complete the job. I'm very unhappy with the results and this company. Will never use them for anything again nor recommend them. Will persue further actions for this incomplete work. Thou he claim he warranty his work, I don't want this company back on my property. A fool can't be fooled again. UPDATE: I have called them several times to give them another chance at repairing my roof cause it is in the paperwork that the work has 5 yr warranty. They would not call me back nor return my text. When I called from another number, they picked up right away. After discussing another date to redo the repairs calling from my other number, they never showed up. Recently found out he change the company name to Texas Leak Stoppers. I found out the original company name and logo Discount Roofing is from another company not associated with them. Old fashion family and friend referrals is the only way I will go from here out. Thanks home advisor...

"Mr. Ben after the call you try to blackmail me saying you will leave me a bad review if I don't refund you act nice over the phone saying everything was OK and tried to trick me by agreeing to a text message and you put OPT you are very confused and don't know what you want and need we will touch bases with you to figure this out and solve this matter in a professional way you will not allow us to stand by our warranty you want other services done that are not under your warranty and I told you that I will do these repairs for you just to take care of the cost of materials you're not willing to work with me and my company"

The good: they came out on a rainy Sunday and I thought they fixed my problem, however when it rained heavy again the leak still was there. The bad: I called them to tell still had the same problem I was told they were coming the following Friday but they never came no call & no show. So the guarantee they give you is really meaningless. I still have the same problem, $1,300 dollars down the drain.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this vendor and would counsel others to stay away. I had a roof leak and hired John to fix it. He was very nice, came out on a holiday, was polite and reassuring. I was quoted $1400 for a "complete roof maintenance". Unfortunately, my expectation was that he would replace bad shingles, remove and replace vent pipes, fix all the penetrations, etc. Instead, he just sealed everything and nailed a few things down. After talking to a real roofing professional (while John was on the job), I realized my mistake, asked him to stop work immediately, and paid him $250 to leave my property - I regret paying the $250, but the guy did come out on Labor Day and he was nice/polite. The roofer I recommend is SLM Residential Roofing. They are professionals. John was very disgruntled about SLM telling me the right way to do the job, and even called the owner. The owner of SLM explained all the mistakes, and asked him how he thought what he was doing was up to code. The conversation started with John being very upset, and ended with him apologizing to the owner of SLM for what he did. Ultimately, John isn't a bad guy - but he's a handyman with a truck, not a roofing professional. Also, the price he was charging for the work performed was obscene. I wish I could get my $250 back. If you need a roofer, hire SLM.

"Matt you paid $250, the original quote was for $1400 to do a full roof maintenance and repair around all vents, pipes, flashing, ridge vents and expose nails etc. You were not happy because of another contractor that spoke with you, that was one of my competitors. Sometimes they get mad when they don't show up to the job on time and get the job, so they will say false Information about our company, which happens quite often when another competitor gets mad, because we show up to the jobs and get them and then they will say they can fix it at a cheaper price and that we charge too much, which is not right or true. He did not even inspect your roof."

I gave them a good review after the job was done but with more rain I discovered the leak was not repaired. Trying to get them to return to correct the problem has been a nightmare. They give me one excuse after another. They would say they would be here and then they were too busy. Day after day of this. They finally came yesterday. They wanted more money and I balked at that - it is the same leak!!! So I am back to trying to get them out to my house to finish the repair that I paid for on 9/4/18. 9/15/18 He wanted an additional $1500 to finish the job. I had another roofing company today actually repair my roof. New boards, new shingles, new vent and pipes. Discount Roofing just slapped TAR on the areas. It was not a sealer. It was TAR. I have two sections to show you. Very deceitful.

"No excuses due to the rain. We simply cannot perform certain services in the rain. We did not give you the run around. We got to you as soon as we could. The leak that is leaking is not what we repaired! We did try to resolve it anyway at no additional cost but we did tell you that there was going to be a charge to take care of the other issue you had. If it is still leaking, you are under warranty! We will need to completely take off the vent and do reshingling so please bear with us, your leak will be resolved!"
