Ed Strosser Handyman

I worked with Distinct Construction on the recommendation of another customer of theirs who recently remodeled his kitchen with them. I had just bought my first home, an apartment in need of major renovations. Ed and Distinct Construction helped me out every step of the way, from outlining what work would be needed to make the apartment livable when I was still finalizing the purchase, walking me through how to accomplish what I wanted to do to make the apartment my own, and being completely upfront about their pricing and timeline. After talking with several contractors DIstinct Construction offered the best price, timeline, and value for what I wanted. Ultimately, we completely remodeled the kitchen, opening it up into the living room with new tiles, backsplash, cabinets, countertops, and appliances; did the same for the bathroom, including a fantastic accent tile and new fixtures; and upgraded the electrical layout, cleaned up, re-plastered, primed and skim-coated the walls, doors, and ceilings for the entire apartment. I made a last minute decision to re-do the floors which Ed's team handled like a champ without having to extend our original timeline. Ed also helped me figure out all my appliances, tiles, and other fixtures and handled pick-up and installation of everything without me having to do anything. We wrapped up on time, and within my budget, even with some of my last minute choices adding extra work and costs and Distinct Construction was responsive and available to my questions and requests every step of the way. Even after the job was done, Ed was gracious and immediate about handling minor tweaks and fixes that I wanted done after I moved in and got used to the new space. I was very happy to work with him and have already recommended him to friends and family. Distinct Construction helped make my first home mine, rather than just a place I moved into and I'll always appreciate that.

Ed worked with us from beginning to end. We had an idea, and he helped us flesh it out and make it come true. He's helpful and supportive, and very good at what he does. He rolled with changes that we asked for, and we love the kitchen that he helped us create. He was upfront and transparent about pricing, which was also lower than bids we received from other, larger companies. He and his associates followed Covid precautions, and they worked easily within our Co-op's guidelines. Ed and his associates were also very quick; he gave a short timeline, and actually delivered faster than expected. We would recommend Distinct Construction for a job of any size.

I had a wall built, and the team built it offsite and assembled it in place which made for a very low impact construction experience. It looks great.

It was a small bathroom total renovation which ended up being more complex due to building and plumbing issues. There were many problems which were all.handled with the utmost professionalism. The bathroom looks great, It is the nicest and my favorite room in the apartment. It was a pleasure working with Distinct Construction & Management.
