I hired this company to address a roof leak around a skylight. They did a decent job addressing the problem but the skylight was now leaking more. I called, they came, they checked to make sure the shingles were sealed and they calked a little. Two days latter it's raining and still leaking. I was worried my ceiling in my kitchen was getting soaked. I called and no return after a week. I had to hire another guy to finish the job and test with a hose to be sure. The problem was at the up-hill end of the skylight. I looked at your response stating that my roof was 40 years old Sorry sport , my roof is 16 years old with 30 year shingles

Doug is great, very responsive, honest, fair pricing. Quick quality work. Works through the weekends for time sensitive projects. Had multiple big jobs (plumbing for whole house, water heater, drywall, tear off roof) he had them all completed quickly and professionally. Will definitely use him again.

I filled out the form Sat night/Sun AM hoping I'd get a company to install a new hot water heater on a Sunday an Doug called Sun morning stating he would fit us in. I was happy with the quote and mentioned we were having issues with the tank shut off. He said the person he was sending would know what to do and would have the parts. His guys were knowledgeable, helpful and very polite. My husband mentioned our sink was draining slow and they snaked it for us. The installation was later than he originally expected but he made sure our new hot water tank was installed and ready to go before 5 pm Sunday. They weren't able to take the old tank out on Sun but he arranged for his guys to come back when it was a good time for us. Both sets of workers were nice and respectful. My husband is keeping them in mind for future projects.

Doug came out the same day I contacted HomeAdvisor. He quoted an amount for just repairing our roof problem, and also one for a complete tear off and roof replacement. We decided to have the entire roof done and the crew was here early the next morning. We were very impressed with them--they worked hard to remove several layers of old roofing. They contacted the neighbors to apologize for the noise and mess, and they cleaned up as they went. HOWEVER, the job apparently took longer than Doug had planned and when they finally "finished" they left with several items still to be done (downspout not reattached, gutter guards not replaced, a cable that had been removed not replaced, scraps left on the ground, some garbage not picked up). And the main problem: the original estimate to repair the leak included replacing some siding on the dormer, and this was also included in the contract that we signed. That was never done, despite a promise to be back the next day to complete things. I had been so pleased with their work and promptness that I paid the balance assuming they would be back as promised. But after many phone calls to Doug I decided to check BBB to see what other customers said. I was surprised and shocked to see that BBB had a NOT RECOMMENDED, and that there were several complaints about unfinished or shoddy work, none of which seemed to be resolved! I thought that HomeAdvisor really checked out the contractors they recommend, and felt I was fooled by the HomeAdvisor reviews which were all positive! So now I have learned not to depend on HomeAdvisor only, and of course not to pay until the job is really complete, since now I am paying someone else to finish the job!

In August I just had part of my roof replaced do to the March wind storm. Doug came out promptly (same day after when talked on the phone) was at my house in 20 mimns. Gave me an excellent quote. The dumpster was at my driveway on Thursday & the tear off was on Friday. My roof was finished before I was able to have my mortgage co. to endorse the check from my insurance company. He did all this without a down pymt. Now you tell me what company is will to do that! Just had him back to install two faucets, change the pipe & put in a water line hook up for my new frig. All at a 1/3 of was another company wanted which was about $1100 plus materials. If you need anything done he's the one! He's honest, down to earth, personable, and affordable. Thank you Doug and your team for your hard work! I have more to be done and I will be hiring him and his team again!

I was nervous at first because there are so many scam artists who prey on vulnerable people but to my surprise, I had a very pleasant experience with Doug Coons. The price he quoted didn't change and the men were professional. They worked until it was done and cleaned up behind themselves. We recommended them to our friends.

good work repairing my roof and my mothers roof but never returned to complete work listed in contract or repairing garage door they unhindged while repairing garage beams. contactor repeatedly said he would complete work but never 1did or return message left.

I drove an hour and a half from Naples to meet your insurance agent who wold have otherwise denied your claim and did many other extras that i did not even charge for. Buyer beware. Doug Coons does good work, but he does not know how to run a business. He can't read an insurance adjuster's report properly and does not keep proper accounting records. His crew treated our property like a garbage dump and once even left for the day with a compressor still running. Even though we had agreed on a price for the job, when he discovered he made an error in estimating the cost of the work, he expected us to pay more just because we have a nicer house than he does. The situation deteriorated rapidly after this and he even sent obscene and vulgar text messages. We were in a bad spot after the wind storm and didn't take the time to do a thorough reference check because we were worried about the vulnerability of our roof. If we had, I doubt we would have hired Doug.

"My price had nothing to do with your insurance quote. I gave you a ?per square foot price ? which you still owe $2100.00 on. I find it very disrespectful that you question my reading comprehension. I think that if you read over your contract you will clearly see where it says the square foot price. Sorry your Yard was messy. If you recall we got caught in a rain storm with 40mph winds so it was out of my control. We also walked the neighborhood to include knee deep in your pond to clear any debris"

I hired Doug over a year ago to fix a pipe from the downstairs bathroom that wasn't draining properly. Although he did a decent job and the cost was fair, he never returned my calls for additional work I needed done. And most recently he didn't call or show up for an estimate appointment to repair my garage roof. I waited all day for him but he never showed up.
