Three candidates were provided through Angis's list. I selected Docs after getting estimates from all three candidates. On the first day, 8/6/26, the contractor showed up as agreed but 5 hrs late, totally unprepared for the job. He left 2 men to remove the old soaking tub. Too much work remained to finish in 1 day as per contract. During the second day, He went to Lowes and Home Depot gathering supplies, but he didn't have his wallet with him, so the items were paid for by me (about $990) on my personal account. At the end of the 2nd day, the shower was partially installed; then the supervisor/ owner, Josiah Merritt, and all the men disappeared without any discussion with me. I tracked him down, and we agreed for him to return on 8/11- no-show. After multiple text messages, he agreed to return on 8/17 to complete the job. Again, no-show and no communication. Additional text messages followed. I agreed to change my travel plans to accommodate his return on 8/21. Unbelievably, he again failed to show up with no communication with me. I sent several texts asking for an explanation. None was given. I left on my trip on 8/22. This man is in over his head. I doubt that he has ever done a bathroom job before because he said, at one point, that he would come to the site and install the glass doors because it couldn't be that hard. Nothing followed. I question how he could have been on your recommended list for this type of work. I think he is a company of one without any employees who just grabs helpers to do a job. He essentially is a con man who gets a larger-than-normal up-front deposit, then cuts and runs. I do not want him on my property again.

Josiah showed up on the days he promised and worked diligently to complete my shower install. He and his partner were respectful and congenial with my family, he even went out of his way to bring my grandson a gift on his second day in my home. I would re-hire Doc's in the future.

Excellent service from start to finish! The team was professional, punctual, and very knowledgeable. They explained everything clearly and made sure the work was done safely and efficiently. I Hired DOCS ROOFING & CONSTRUCTION Super quick easy to work with and very professional the whole way through. He showed up on time explained everything in a simple way and got right to work. You can tell he knows what he’s doing and takes it seriously. The job was done faster than I expected and everything was cleaned up perfectly after. No stress at all. Josiah Merritt bka Doc?s Roffing was hired in Nov 2024 to completed my roofing, replacing vinyl siding and sheet rock in several rooms due to a tree falling on my home. I was advised that all work would be completed before Thanksgiving 2024. It is now May 2025 and the work is still in completed, phone calls and text messages are being unreturned. The company has advised that my vinyl was on a 3 month delay and then i was advised that it was received Feb. 2025. I?ve been advise that i will receive a refund and due to the delay the work can will still be completed. At this point I?m out of thousands of dollars with uncompleted work. The structure of my house is not currently safe, I?ve patiently waited for resolve and no luck. This company is not trust worthy. Be careful if you choose to use them!
