I believe they did a great job. Despite working in the rain they finished in two days

Bruce, the owner came out to check the job and make sure the edging was done correctly.

The workers did their job, but the lack of supervision and followup were not so good.

Dogwood tree service did an excellent job. They said it was a very hard job because it was a huge dead tree between two homes. I would highly recommend Earnest and his crew of 12!!! Thanks guys and 2 ladies. Be safe and thanks for all your hard work.

They worked quickly and thoroughly. They transformed our front yard in one day!! Great group of guys.

I met with this contractor at my home. Received a formal estimate and called back to confirm the work and start the project. They never showed up, didn't return telephone calls and are unfortunately picking and choosing what works best for them. Beware of your time before you call.

Never pay in full. You will have a hard time getting them back to finish the job.

Prices were about one third of the largest garden center in the area.

This company has turned my ugly front yard to one with beautiful curb appeal. Now I can be proud of how my yard looks. Plants and paver walkway very beautiful. Also graded our uneven driveway and put in good quality gravel.

Very pleased with the tree work but would like to have been here when it was done. Call about being out of town was not returned.

Workers came unprepared. Did not have all the tools they needed. Also was to cut stumps down to the ground in order to be able to mow. Did not do that. Also workers got in a altercation and neighbor called police since I was not there. They came back and fixed the issue.

Upgrade to foundation slope for drainage seems to be working well.

Was given estimate for work in early November. Was given scheduled work date of first or second day of second week in November. Came to my home unprepared on Friday of that same week. Transplanted a few shrubs and have not returned to finish. Would not recommend this company.

Dogwood Landscape did a beautiful job of rebuilding and enlarging our patio. They are conscientious and pay close attention to the finer details of making our space look great.

The tree to remove was dead and dangerous. The company was expert at dropping this tree avoiding my chicken house, barn , parked trucks and my home if things had gone badly. No one was hurt and the removal was very quick and thorough. Will call again as needed.

We had a big job, 8 giant oaks to be removed that were too close to the house, electrical wires, and the swimming pool. They were masters at dropping the trees! Nothing was damaged and the cleanup was quick and thorough. We were impressed and very pleased with Dogwood Tree!

I have a house in Johnson City, but I live in North Carolina. My neighbor in JC notified me that a large tree had fallen from the corner of my yard into his backyard. The fallen tree was 99% in my neighbor’s yard, but I figured I would do the right thing and take care of it. So I went to HomeAdvisor to get some contact information and estimates to get the tree cut up and hauled away. Bruce at Dogwood Landscaping gave me a reasonable estimate that, while not my lowest, was less than several of the others, so I hired him to do the job. He told me to send my check to my neighbor and that way the neighbor could pay him when he was finished; so that is what I did. When Dogwood arrived to start working, my neighbor did not want them to bring any equipment into his yard even though he had a double-gate that would have made removing the tree much simpler. Instead, the neighbor said Dogwood had to go through my back yard and remove two chain-link fences in the process to get to the tree. I didn’t care if they did that, but I don’t think Bruce had accounted for having to do that when he gave his quote – and quite honestly I didn’t even think to ask how he planned to remove it. I told him it was fine to go through my yard, and we settled on an additional amount that I would send him for the extra work. So, long story short, Dogwood removed the tree completely – and it was a big one – and they did a great job doing that. However, when they took down the two fences, they damaged them so that they could not just be tied back together; in fact, they broke at least one post and bent another, and they did not even attempt to put the fences back up. Who knows – maybe I misunderstood and he was never going to put the fence back up. But I’m pretty sure I didn’t agree to just breaking it beyond simple re-installation. I did call Bruce a few days later to find out if he was going to finish the fence but it went straight to voicemail and he never called me back. I think this job may have ended up taking longer than he originally thought it would. And I’m sure he wasn’t thrilled with having to work between me and my neighbor. He was probably frustrated with the situation because he was there on the property trying to get the job done, and I was in NC trying to do the right thing by having the tree quickly removed, but my neighbor was being difficult and causing both of us extra time and money in the process. I rated Dogwood as 4 stars because the work they did for the tree was excellent, and if they hadn’t broken my fence, I would have given them 5 stars. I would not hesitate to call Dogwood Landscaping again for tree services if the need arises, but I would just be sure I knew all the details of the plan first to try to avoid a situation like this one. And actually, that goes for hiring any professional – get all the details up front.

Bruce and his crew did an excellent job for a very fair price. They cut down over 12 trees and left the yard immaculate. I would highly recommend them.
