When my husband and I began planning to sell our home, we knew we needed help. I am an avid HGTV (Home and Garden TV) watcher of many different home improvement/real estate buying/selling shows and see the phenomenal impact even some minor improvements and STAGING make. I knew we had to let go of our personal design tastes to appeal to as many buyers as possible. It took a bit of convincing to get my husband on board with what needed to be done as he thought we had a lovely home on the lake that anyone would love. Our home was lovely, but I knew it was outdated and we needed to show potential buyers their future home not ours. She is just a delightful person and clearly knows her stuff. For example, the first â stagerâ my realtor suggested told me we should replace the laminate countertop in my laundry room with calacatta marble to the tune of over $1,800. I asked Marcyne what she thought of that advice and she said that an expensive upgrade was not necessary, and recommended other things that were more important to do to to sell our home and sell it quickly, which was our goal as my husband was ill. Marcyne created a comprehensive written assessment of our home and provided a multitiered proposal, which allowed us to select the approach that was right for us. Once we decided on a plan, which included updating our master bath and kitchen, I didnâ t know how to make that happen nor did I have the time to interview contractors. Marcyne coordinated the whole process, from designing the new spaces to identifying the best contractors to get the job done. What a load off our minds. She is really a very warm and caring person and provided much needed support during a very difficult time in our lives. We couldnâ t have done it without her! We ended up not putting our house on the market as a neighbor was looking for a lakefront home that was â move in readyâ . Marcyne helped us to make our home move in ready with the updates to our outdated master bath and kitchen that appealed to this younger family. They offered us a price we were very happy to accept, especially as this was around the time the Covid 19 virus was becoming a real problem and we just wanted to get our home sold. We are very grateful to Marcyne and I highly recommend her and her team.
