I meet with Matt Denato about providing estimates to repair decks at 2 properties, he set up a meeting, and after that, he said that each deck inspection would be $167.00 that for me to crawl underneath the deck and determine the condition so I can give you an accurate estimate for repairs, he only charged me for the deck at the rental because that is the one he needed to crawl underneath. , he met me at both properties after a week we texted, and I waited for him for 6 weeks, when I followed up with him he said he would not give the estimate since he was working on a large project, the same as the next day, and the 3rd day he said he had no intention to provide an estimate. I told him that I relied on him for the estimate and if he was not providing it that I would like to get a refund for the money paid. He said he spent time, I answered we both spent time and my time was spent in relicense of his representation that an estimate would be forthcoming, his response was because he spent the time he would not refund the money paid, I said yes but I received no benefit for the money I paid you in reliance on your performance, so no money, no time no benefit is my position. as the estimate was not received a refund is demanded, and I was harmed by waiting for him. I drove to meet this man at the tenant's home, I spent the time I was harmed by being delayed on getting other estimates for being waiting on him. the least he could refund the money paid, he cased me for more than that.

I have since hired Donato construction for 3 more projects. I have now found an honest reliable and reasonably priced Licensed Contractor.

Matt was very easy to work with, and went above and beyond on the drywall repair from some extensive plumbing that had occurred. He worked with me and with the plumber to be sure everything was left in better condition than when we started. I can't recommend him highly enough and plan to use him for any home repairs we have in the future.
